Fantastic experience at this hotel! From day 1, Jane was very kind to us. Our flight got in early and we got to the hotel around 2ish and she was able to check us right in and upgraded our experience. The next day, our thermostat wasn’t working and it was so cold and as soon as we let them know, they sent the engineer to look at it while we were out and by the time we got back they determined that we needed a different room so they could fix the old one. While it was a minor issue and didn’t really put us out, the customer service Ava provided for us was just fantastic. She organized us new room for us, gave us complimentary drinks and checked in the make sure everything was okay. The hotel was safe, as you need a key to use the elevator and to get in after 11 pm. They also have a security guard on street level. The room was spacious for the 3 adults staying there. Fulton station is 2 blocks away, so we had an easy walk to get on the subway. While it is not close to midtown or Times Square, it is within walking distance to the Statue of Liberty ferry ride, 9/11 memorial and the Brooklyn bridge. The continental breakfast was also great! It also felt safer at night in this district as opposed to when we were at Times Square. When I return to New York, I will be staying here again.

This hotel is great, and Jane is even better. She checked us in early, and regularly checked on us during our visit to ensure we had everything we needed. The rooms show a bit of wear in pockets, but are overall nice and big for a New York hotel. The hotel is located great in the financial district and close to the World Trade Center memorial. Will come again when on business travel.

This is our home away from home in NYC.
It is not a shiny bright new hotel but it is a winning choice.
It starts with the remarkable front desk team: always helpful and kind. Jane could be teacher for hotels staff about high end service with both skill and empathy.
It goes on to the large comfortable well equipped rooms and the perfect location.
We surely will continue staying in this hotel in our future trips to NYC.

Very nice hotel in a great location. Large and well-equipped rooms, comfortable bed, household appliances, bathroom and elevators that can accommodate several people with suitcases. Metro 3 minutes on foot. I recommend!

BAD BAD BAD. Guys, they are buying reviews. It's NOT 4 stars, It's 3 at the best case. Very old smelly rooms, very old furniture same as bathroom. No water, no robe or slippers, and very old towels. Bad service - called for water 3 times and they brought it only after we went to bed. Reception people are not interested in helping you - if you don't get the idea of something they just repeat the same words and that's it (so if you are a tourist from a foreign country - good luck). Idk what can lead you to stay here but believe me for this price there are a lot lot better hotels.

The first room we were assigned to smelled like old cigarettes. The front desk reps were great on switching us to a fresh room.

Clean hotel near the subway station. The bed was pretty large and was comfortable. The hotel is currently under renovation so it wasn’t the most aesthetically pleasing. Some of the furniture has also seen better days

Had 3 false fire alarms during the late evening. Staff said their system kept malfunctioning. Couldn't sleep because of the alarms going off several times within a 3 hr period. Also, black mold in bathrooms and showers. Disgusting for a 4-star hotel. The hotel is also under construction.

It was my first time at this hotel. I booked a Large King Studio, and requested an early check in (which was understandably not guaranteed). When I checked in (early), the rep I said there was a Small King Studio ready but no Large was ready at the time. No problem, I checked by bag and came back later.

When I came back, I was given my room key and headed to the room only to see it was the Small, not the Large I had booked. Surprised the rep hadn't mentioned I was getting a Small, I went back down to the lobby to inquire. The rep said the Small was the only King Studio available (lie - the prior rep said that the Large just wasn't ready yet), which means they booked the Large out from under me and gave it to another guest. I asked if she could give me any larger room than the Small King Studio, and without even attempting to look, she said the hotel was completely sold out (lie #2 - I saw very few other guests during my stay, and even at breakfast there were only two other tables occupied, so I find it exceedingly hard to believe this 12-story hotel was "completely sold out"). Realizing she was not going to give me the room I booked (or something better), I asked for a partial comp for the smaller accomodations. The rep said she could not offer any comp (lie #3 - every hotel on the planet has the power to comp in a situation like this), and offered me some Marriott points instead. Only after I adamantly refused (points have little value to me) did she give me a lower room rate for the smaller room. (What happened to no comps?). Even then, I paid less for a smaller room - nothing extra for the inconvenience and misrepresentations I went through.

The whole experience left me bitter. That I would intentionally be given lesser accommodations than I reserved, not be compensated for the difference until I asked, and being lied to multiple times, is something I might expect from a low-budget car rental company.not a hospitality behemoth like Marriott.

Oh, and to top it all off, they tried to add a charitable contribution to my bill without ever asking. How many people even notice that? And of those who do, who has time or wants to face the awkwardness of asking to have it removed? All so Marriott can make a giant donation under its name on the backs of its unwitting guests.

Needless to say, I won't be staying at this hotel again. I'll also think twice about staying at any Marriott if this is how they conduct themselves.

The location is great if you're staying downtown as various metro lines are close by. However, like New York, the building next to it was so close that it was frustrating to have to close the curtains all day. Looking at other reviews, they said there was a view of the Statue of Liberty, but it was annoying to ask for a room change, so I just stayed. I made a reservation a few months in advance and reserved a relatively spacious room, but I think the most basic room would be very narrow. Like most hotels in New York.
Breakfast is included but nothing to eat except Starbucks coffee and fruit. My child went on the first day and didn't go throughout the stay. I only brought coffee and a banana lightly and ate it. The breakfast room is under construction, so there aren't many tables.
The attitude of the staff is also very rigid. The guard on the first floor never said hello. This is the first time this has happened, so I was a bit perplexed. Overall, I felt that New York was more unfriendly than it used to be. Before the corona, it was normal to say hello to eye contact and small talk.

Amazing! Easy to find, close to subway stations and great service. Jane checked us in, got us set up with the WiFi and even gave us an upgrade to a room with two queens. Breakfast is good too, enough choices and set me up for the rest of the day. Close to 9/11 memorial and Wall Street, easy walk to the water.

Dropped one star for the number of different things closed by their construction. Room temp was very hard to control. However great location.

It's even dirty, the price-quality ratio doesn't match, there's no normal blanket, the refrigerator and air conditioner are humming, making it difficult to sleep. First trip to the city and such a first impression (I regret that I stopped here

Service, breakfast, location are Good.

However I was disappointed that the sheets were not cleaned properly, it had the smell of cigarettes smoke, most likely a smoker stayed in the same room or used those sheets. Coffee machine was ancient with broken parts!

No parking available which is understandable considering the location is downtown Manhattan!

Easy to get to via public transport, free breakfast, lots of eating places nearby and close to attractions.

Very good hotel. With the family for 5 days. Great location. Good welcome. Breakfast very good. Large apartment for 5, well equipped. Only one problem, the sofa bed not comfortable and noisy.
