Residence Inn by Marriott New York Manhattan/Times Square

DONT STAY HERE, THEY WILL GO THROUGH YOUR THINGS AND TAKE THEM. We stayed here 12/31-1/4.they location was great. However, my beats and accessories were stolen from my backpack in our room. I did let the staff know, however they said that the housekeeper didn't see any beats, they wouldn't see any beats out and about because they were in my backpack, someone had to actually go inside my backpack and take my Wireless Rose gold beats head phones, charger, and case. This is ridiculous that someone would actually take the time to do this and the staff seem not to care. Everything was $150, and I had them for over 4 years. It may not be alot but they were mine and a gift. I've traveled the world with no problems and all of a sudden, NYC had to be the thief. Taking things that's not yours isn't cool and I'm pissed. I been waiting on an investigation/ reimbursement and nothing. I would hate to sue for $150 but I will because of the principal. $150 can turn in alot more. IJS

Breakfast typical American, but was ok.
Room sufficient for the days. A bed for 2 people and a sofa bed which was unfortunately very sagging.
And we were disappointed with the view. We had a room on the 6th floor of the hotel and I thought that was a shame.but all in all it was ok

It is close everywhere I wanted to go to; Macy's, Empire State Building, Times Square, Penn Station and lots more! If I can walk it, then almost anyone can.
Very central location and I look forward to my next trip!

Very well located, with good breakfast, but shower and elevator are disappointing.

The hotel is very well located, making it very easy to access the main tourist attractions in New York on foot or by subway. The staff were very attentive and helpful throughout our stay.

But there are some aspects that leave something to be desired. Starting with the shower in the room, which was very bad. In addition to water only coming out of a few holes, little water comes out, with little pressure. We think this is terrible. One is because a shower and bed are basic items in a hotel room, they generate comfort. It's very frustrating to take a shower in a bad shower with little water coming out and no pressure at all. Furthermore, in cold weather, a bad shower is even worse. Because the bathroom is usually cold when taking a shower, and the shower doesn't come out with enough water to warm up those taking a shower.

Another very bad point were the elevators. Despite having 4 elevators, at busy times they don't do the job. Several times we spent around 30 minutes waiting for the elevator to go down or go up.
Some times we decided to use the stairs and it was difficult because there were several people crowded on the stairs going down and going up.

I think that elevator of yours is in urgent need of adjustments.

Despite this, it is a good hotel, with a good breakfast and good staff.
We would come back.

Rooms and location are great for the price. The unique issue is the traffic in elevators in the morning.

The room is quite comfortable, although you can see and feel that the hotel is already quite old. The biggest disadvantage is the huge problem with water. The shower head was in terrible condition, the water barely flowed.
The location of the hotel is excellent, close to Bryant Park, library, and other tourists places. We liked the breakfast, it was varied, there was enough space and it was pleasant to be in the cafe

Great location, clean but VERY old and outdated. All the trim is cracked, stained, smashed and dirty. Does NOT look like photos on website at all

Aging hotel but very well placed when you want to visit New York.

The rooms (actually small apartments) need to be renovated, we're good there.
Reception staff available, but the language barrier quickly becomes apparent. The staff makes little effort when you don't speak English.
Laundry room and gym available in the basement.there is a charge for the laundry room.

AN OLD HOTEL THAT HAS NOT BEEN REMODELED; ROOMS WITH DIRTY STAINED CARPET; BATHROOM WITH VERY LITTLE WATER; THE SHOWER ALMOST WITHOUT WATER, THE BEDS, MATTRESSES AND PILLOWS; VERY HARD, BREAKFAST VERY BASIC; WITH VERY POOR QUALITY PRODUCTS, WE WERE A STAY OF! $ DAYS AND THREE NIGHTS THE EVACUATION ALARM rang; THEN THEY ASKED FORGIVENESS, I DECIDED TO TALK TO THE MANAGER; KEVIN CIFUENTES, FOR ALL THIS DECEPTION, THEY SOLD ME A 4 STAR HOTEL and IT IS NOT ENOUGH FOR THE 2 STARS, NOT EVEN A SOLUTION;;;;;;;

We had such a great time. Location is close to time square. Plus we had free breakfast which was unheard of for NY hotels. Reception people were so amazing! Definitely coming back soon!

Location was pretty good! Front desk staff was friendly, however attention to detail was very lacking.

Close to Times Square. Breakfast is better than nothing.
There are also some salad vegetables and fruits.
There are cooking utensils, but no induction stove for cooking, and the refrigerator is large and has excellent freezing performance.
The bathroom is not soundproofed at all, and the bed next to the bathroom can be difficult if you are sensitive.
Body cleanser, shampoo, conditioner, and soap provided.

There's a Dunkin' on the first floor, a Subway if you go around the building, and a Starbucks and a 5 Guys hamburger restaurant across the street.

Great location, ok apartment. Service was fantastic, check in a few hours before the scheduled time, I had a problem with the afternoon receptionist when I politely questioned a charge on my card and she was rude.

I just want to point that I had the best ever experience with the bartenders Erhan and Leo. This guy's are incredible and amazing and they made my week. Thanks for everything we will come back soon

This hotel was great in SO many ways. Spotlessly clean. Room was so comfortable. Bed was so comfortable. Staff was great, friendly, hard working. Location was PERFECT. Close to Times Square but not right in it all. Bryant park is LOVELY and it's 1 block down. By far, this is one my favorite experiences I've ever had. Just low key, easy and lovely. I NY! And this hotel.

This is an unbelievably tired hotel in a great location. The elevators are so old that many of the buttons do not work and at least one elevator was out of service each day (19 days in total) of our stay. And, the elevators are so slow that you can wait nearly 30 minutes during peak times - especially during breakfast. The breakfast buffet is included and very good.

I cannot remember the last time I was at a hotel in a major city that required the room key to be inserted into the door. And, there is not one USB port in the room. I cannot remember staying at any hotel without a USB port in the last 5 years.

The fitness center is very small for such a large hotel, but 4 of the 8 cardio machines were out of order. I told the desk each day and each day the front desk said that it would be reported. 19 days later, there was not even a sign on the broken equipment that it would be serviced shortly.

It really is a shame that a Marriott-branded hotel in such a great location could be allow to fall into such disrepair. The longer that management waits to upgrade, the more costly and difficult it will be. Room upgrades, elevator repairs, fitness center repairs and general repairs in the hallways are critical.

We already book this hotel since last month and when we arived, the hotel is closed and no one noticed us that the hotel is closed

Everything was perfect if it weren't for the elevators which work 2 at a time even though there are 4 of them, at peak times you have to queue a lot

Wait for a lift to lobby from room can be 15 minutes.rooms are dated.traffic noise in rooms

The ac didn't work in the first room.
The front desk personnel was great.
The view from the hotel was ok.
The breakfast buffet was good.
The location of the hotel was close to everything.
