Very good breakfast and quiet. Was under reconstruction/renovation and still had great service.

Basic hotel. Nothing fancy. Gr8 customer service. Hotel staff is excellent! Beds are comfortable. We have stayed her several times and plan to return again.

I recently booked a two-night stay as I traveled to Rochester with my wife and three children to visit the Museum of Play and visit Niagara Falls. I have nothing but nice things to say about this hotel. The staff was friendly and courteous. We booked the two-bedroom suite and the amenities were up-to-date and clean. The hotel states they are undergoing renovations on their website and it was clear we were lucky enough to spend our time in one of the new rooms. Given our string of bad luck with hotels the past few trips we've taken, the fact that this room was clean and modern cannot be understated. The complimentary breakfast offered hot and cold options and certainly fit the bill. Applebees and Olive Garden were both within walking distance of our room. Once you factor in the hotel's proximity to several major roads, I would certainly recommend this location and intend to stay here for any future trips to Rochester. Shout out to Heidi for offering two suckers to my 7 and 4 year old boys.

First and most likely last time I stayed at this location. I was placed on second floor. Entire floor smelled like pot (smoke free hotel). Get to my room and lock doesnt work, go to front desk and get another room. I mentioned the smell and front desk said there isnt anything they can do about it. 3rd floor was under construction, lobby and many rooms near the lobby under construction. I was told construction was done for the night but listened to crews working above my room up until 10 pm. Many families living there full time which I understand under current housing crises but it didnt make for a great experience listening to kids run up and down the hallway playing after driving all day long and just needing a place to stay. I was too tired to go elsewhere once I arrived.

One of the few hotels that still had hard wired high speed internet. Friendly staff and clean rooms. Breakfast was good. Renovation going on at the hotel but it wasn't issue for us during our stay.

Right next to olive garden and Applebee's. Very nice lady at service desk. Clean room, warm pool and enough space in the room for kids to play. Everything I needed to use like the microwave, toaster and oven worked great.

Hated the service we got in our second stay.

Lady at the lobby desk was rude and unaccommodating from the moment we walked in the door.

Our stay was also during a main water line break (city's fault), but I would expect any half decent hotel to provide bottled water in such a situation. Not to mention, we called ahead to make sure they were NOT affected by the main water line break, and Heidi said they weren't, only to show up and be handed a piece of paper that says we need to boil the tap water. Again, not the hotels fault, but the miscommunication there really added to the frustration when we had to deal with the lady at the front desk.

Our next stay in Rochester will be elsewhere.

Avoid. Avoid. Avoid.

When you think of Marriott a few things come to mind, most of which are good. As such, when looking for a hotel, you look for something familiar, somewhere with order and structure. You would expect Marriotts to adhere to company standards across the board. Independently owned or not, the building says Marriott; correct? Much to the same extent with any other franchises.

Picture this. You drive 8 hours, are beyond excited to start your weekend and most of all get out of thr car! There we were, at the front desk and that's when it started. Per company guidelines, they are to take a $250 room waiver (as most hotels do) when you check in. It should have been a red flag right there and then when they didn't even request an ID or card. Front desk associate asked me my name and provided me key cards. We then bounced around the lobby for a bit, trying to get our bearings, all while the desk associates talked while on there cell phones.

Upon finding our room, we were greeted to what I woule consider deplorable conditions on a "cleaned" room. I could have let the hand prints go on the mirrors, or dog fur clumped in every corner or even the wet spots on the couch. What did it for me was the full face of makeup that rubbed off on the "clean" sheets and pillows. Upon further investigation we found some sort of brownish/red fluid sprayed all over the bathroom, including on the toliet and toliet paper.

I'm sorry, but we are maybe a year removed from COVID and this is how they clean?

Anyways, I went immediately down stairs, expressed my concerns at the front desk, who seemed confused as though I was making this up. After a barrage of questions and explaining I didn't want anything for free, but rather just a clean room, I was eventually provided my request.

After walking into room 1, I didn't have extraordinarily high hopes, but expected at least the room to be "clean". Unfortunately, the second room we were provided was worse then room one. Same issues, only this time, throw in a vehicle ashtray smell and some real pungent body odor. Yes, it was horrible.

I immediately did an about face, heading not in the direction of the desk, but rather my car to call corporate Marriott (as there name is on the side of the building.)

I explained by dissatisfaction with the cleanliness of the hotel after 2 filthy rooms. I again made it known, I want trying to get anything for free, but rather just get my reservation canceled and switched to a different Marriott. Again, going on many prior stays in different hotels.

After a half hour of explaining everything to them, I was then told they can not help me, as I booked through a 3rd party.

. Excuse me?

After I listened to this supervisor explain some nonsense for 5 minutes, I had a simple question for her. "Do you work for Marriott? ", I asked. She stated yes. I asked her if thr building said Marriott on the side, she again said yes.

. Which eventually resulted in this explanation to said person. "IF I BUY A CHEVY FROM DEALER A AND THEN AM TOLD AT DEALER B THEY CAN NOT SERVICE MY VEHICLE BECAUSE OF WHERE I BOUGHT IT. "

That does not happen right?

Wrong, Marriott basically told me it's not there issue and to contact Expedia.

That was it. It was at that very moment all respect was lost for Marriott.

I spent the next 45 min on the phone with Expedia, who canceled my reservation, set me up with a Hilton property near by, and credited me $100. I did not ask for a credit and infact paid another $183 for the new property, to ensure this did not happen again.

Absolute worst and I mean WORST customer service I have experienced.

Avoid this hotel and if you can, all Marriotts.

It seems cleanliness ranks even lower on there list then customer service.

The stay was fine until Saturday night. The pool and whirlpool area was overloaded with many adolescents running wild in the pool area and over 10 were in the whirlpool. Said something to the front desk person and said they would take care of it. Nothing was done about it. Parents are not watching. This is BS!

Leaving your personal possessions behind is irretrievable, including a quarter. Housekeeping staff are THIEVES! Front desk agents and managers are enablers. Andrea is rude, dismissive and repugnant. Corporate staff are unresponsive after leaving messages in their VM. Overall, staff and site are despicable. ZERO STAR! ZERO STAR! ZERO STAR! ZERO STAR! ZERO STAR! NEVER-AGAIN-LAND.

It was good Marriott quality. Staff are extremely nice, from reception to serving breakfast. However the room are dated no matter how you clean it. The weekend we stayed costed almost $400 for a 2-bedroom. Not sure if this is the norm, seems too much money for what was received.

We grew up in Rochester and still have family there. This is our go to place to stay when we go back to visit. Rooms are super clean, spacious, have everything we need and beds are super comfy. Staff is super nice and helpful.

This is now our go to hotel for Rochester, the staff has always been awesome. The sitting area outside the pool is great for breakfast outside. The pool hours are great and have made our kids very happy.

Absolute miserable stay. No sheets for the sofa bed. Housekeepers keys were still in the room when we checked in, no sheets for the sofa bed. Food was bland to s as y the least. And after 4 days they never once emptied the trash, delivered fresh towels, over even made the beds let alone change the sheets. No sing that they even entered the room. Probably the worst experience i ever had at a Marriott property. My how time have changed. Avoid them like the plague!

Gorgeous rooms and very spacious. The location is ideal if staying in Rochester. The staff was very nice. Only downside is that every morning I had to request that the refill the coffee carafe at the front desk. They should probably put a few on each floor.

Typical Residence Inn, the staff are extremely nice and always are willing to assist with any needs. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Very safe location as well.
