Rich was super helpful. I had a leak in my skylight, and rich was super responsive, came out the next day and immediately made suggestions on what could fix the leak, provided a detailed consultation to my super and I to fix the leak and was extremely diligent and thoughtful. Highly recommend his services.

Highly recommend Richard, from Rich’s Skylights and Roof Hatches. They sent a professional team to measure for the replacement of my skylight and explained the complete installation process. When the skylight arrived they prepped the areas inside and outside my home with drop cloths to ensure job cleanliness. After rebuilding the curb the skylight was installed and sealed. Excellent service! And I love my new skylight.

I really appreciated working with Richard. We had a terribly drafty skylight and he came out very soon after we spoke on the phone to see our situation. He got me a price shortly after, and was very flexible about scheduling the installation. Of course I hope NOT to need any work on my skylight again, but if I do I’ll be calling Richard.

My 83 year old skylight finally gave out. Rich Metal created a new skylight from scratch. Quality piece. It will surely outlast me.

Our roof/skylight was leaking for the last 6 months. We tried hiring other people to fix it, but no one could figure out what the problem was and everyone told us we needed a new skylight.
I finally got in touch with rich and his crew figured out the issue right away. We set a date for them to fix it and a fair price. They showed up at the exact time they said they would, we’re extremely communicative throughout the whole job and days leading up to the job, and most importantly the fixed the issue. If you’re having any issues with a skylight, i could not recommend rich and his team more highly!

Richard was great. I needed a large fixed skylight converted into a hatch skylight of a custom size. Richard provided transparent pricing, a schedule for the work, and explained every delay that would be encountered. He then executed the work exactly to his plan. His work was of the highest quality and his pricing was very fair.

My skylight was leaking, and I quickly found Rich's place on the internet, and called. Rich answered right away, and came to my home the same day. It was determined that a new skylight was needed (mine was over 30 years old.) He took me through the process very carefully, quickly took measurements, and within that week started the work. Rich was very polite as was his assistant, and always in communication with me, and sending me pictures from the roof as things were progressing. He got the job done quickly, and in the most professional manner. He even covered the rungs in my hallway below the skylight so that nothing would get ruined by any debris that may fall during construction, and cleaned up very well afterwards. I recommend Richard and his associate for any skylight work you may need. He is very hospitable and caring.

I wish I could give more stars to Richard and that there were more contractors like him. Mine was an urgent project and instead of coming by the next day, he called back and said he would come the very same night due to potential safety issues/hazards to my family and me. He arrived (in a terribly rainy night, mind you) and within minutes, it was fixed. Thankfully, it didn’t turn out to be quite the safety issue we thought, but I appreciated that he was considerate enough to take care of things sooner than later. We also mutually agreed upon a price and it was very fair. Highly recommend!

He seemed like a nice enough guy. Came by took measurements twice, we were in communication during that entire time and assured me he could get the job done. Never followed up with a price, ignored my numerous text messages. He always seemed very busy, not very organized and I was always chasing him around to get a simple job done. Didn't have a good experience, plenty of other places, who can get the job done with professionalism. Can not recommend.

The skylight turned out better than expected. It was worth the wait and expense. I researched extensively and I am glad to have contracted Richard's services. Richard and his assistant wer courteous and professional. I will definitely recommend him. I am currently considering additional services.

Can I give 10 stars? I called last minute on a weekend. Rich came out on the same day. Looked at my leaky skylight. Gave me a quote. Returned one business day later to fix it.

He was methodical, detailed and his price was fair. I am a happy customer. It is so rare to get good customer service, fair price and good service.

I called Rick to ask him about our skylights, not knowing much about them other than they leaked snow when it was windy. He was very generous with his advice, telling me what to do if I were to repair the skylight myself, which we did.

Richard was terrific. He explained every step and offered options very clearly and then did a great job pulling out a leaky bad skylight and putting in a strong replacement. He went above and beyond (even attending to another skylight which barely leaked at all and is now perfect). All for a very fair price. (I also felt very safe and comfortable as a woman with someone I had never met alone in my home —very good vibes and respectful.). I completely recommend him.
