Rina Caprarella, MD reviews
16I'm confused by the bad reviews. Not the front desk, they're definitely not happy people, direct, bordering on rude but I noticed that thet get yelled at by a lot of elderly people. Not syaing thats why but it doesnt help. So i agree the front desk could use a few meetings about bedside manner. I think maybe they give people a bad vibe before they see the doctor. A smile wouldnt kill them. But I found Dr. Caparella to be attentive, compassionate, informative and thorough with her plan. I have serious issues and I am confident she can help me pinpoint the exact area causing the problem. I'm the front desk is not treating me so I'm willing to deal with it if I get a solution.
I’ve seen Dr Caprarella for the second time now, very friendly. But I want to point out specially one of her staff out- Shanti is amazing, very friendly, very professional and definitely cares about the patients. I was given a follow up appointment by the front for March 31 which would have me been waiting for 2 month, however when I called back to ask a few questions Shanti recognized me over the phone and scheduled me in within a week. Not even 2 days later she called me and asked me if I wanted to come in the next day. SHE IS AMAZING! Wish all the staff at Dr. Capprarella were as professional as she is. Shanti keep up this amazing work you do you definitely make the patient feel comfortable. Thank you.
My experience with Dr. Caprarella was extremely helpful and professional. I have complete confidence in her. She listened patiently as I detailed my complaint. She was very knowledgeable and answered my questions. She detailed her treatment plan and I will see her again after going for an MRI.
If I could give less than one star, I would. Avoid this doctor by all means! She is rude, cold and unprofessional. Her front desk people are just the same! On my first office visit, they lost my insurance card and insisted that I had it. Every time I called for appointments was a nightmare. The wait was unbelievably long as if they don't want to take my call. When I finally at the visit, the wait was long and she was in a hurry. In short, the experience was really unpleasant. She did not help me with my numbness problem. I totally wasted money and time.
I find this doctor to be very rude and cold. She has no compassion to begin with. I come a year later with my mom because she does not comprehend all things medical and English is a second language to begin with. This dr refused to let me inside to help translate what would be said to my mom. I will never return here again. It is not worth it to pay a provider who does not see their patients as a priority.
I was sent to Dr. Caprarella in which to me was an emergency situation. She listened, had 3 MRI's done, was diagnosed, and in the ED all within 3 hours. The simplest way I can put it is she was on her game and had my back. She did not dismiss or downplay my situation. She is a highly professional and intelligent doctor. I would absolutely recommend her.
My initial impression was positive. Dr. Caprarella took the time to review my symptoms and lay out a plan for diagnosing my condition. Scheduled EMGs for both upper and lower and she went over the procedure in detail. During the procedure, she accurately described what she was about to do and what I would experience. At that point I was feeling very good about this doctor.
It all came apart after that. I had to schedule an appointment to go over the results of my EMGs and an MRI and, when I arrived, a PA walked into the room instead of Dr. Caprarella. He discussed the results but I did not feel he was able to adequately address some of my questions. He seemed alarmed by my MRI and wanted me to see a surgeon literally the next day. The office staff wanted to set me up with a specific surgeon but that doctor did not accept my insurance. I told them I would see a surgeon of my choosing even though they tried to convince me to see a ProHealth surgeon because my surgeon was not likely to be able to see me the next day.
Having not had all of my questions answered by the PA, I went on to the MyChart app and sent a message to Dr. Caprarella. The PA responded and provided an answer that was different than what he had told me at my appointment. I had follow up questions and have now written 2 additional messages (which I know have been read) but have not had a response and do not expect to receive one at this point.
I’m certain that the only way I’ll get answers is if I schedule another appointment which allows for additional billing. ProHealth doctors are notorious for requiring patients to schedule appointments for test results instead of providing them over the phone. I might be OK with that if I was going to see the doctor and know that I could get answers to my questions and concerns but NOT if the doctor is going to send a PA in to deliver such bad news.
My plan now is to find another neurologist and have my records and test results transferred. If I can’t get timely responses to medical concerns and can’t even see the doctor when my test results suggest the urgent need for surgery, it’s time to move on to another doctor.
I have never experienced the type of unprofessionalism from a doctor or a office. I found her to be extremely rude, no compassion what so ever. No bedside manner. I recommend she makes a professional decision since she’s so afraid and more concerned of getting a disease from her patients. The focus and care should be your patient, that’s why you wear the proper ppe. She should be more professional!
Unprofessional staff, made an appointment in person and when I arrived the day of my appointment I was told I did t have an appointment that I needed to schedule another.
Do not go there
Dr Caprarella is by far the coldest, most dismissive, rude and impatient doctor I have ever seen in my life. I’m talking here as a patient but I’ve also worked in healthcare since 2001 and I’m around doctors all day every day. I would not recommend her to anyone. Absolutely zero bedside manner. Go somewhere else.
Dr. Caprarella is very caring, professional, knowledgeable, and thorough. The staff are helpful and kind! I greatly appreciate their assistance!
Was referred to see Doctor Caprerella by a friend.
It was holiday season and I couldn't get to see my regular
doctor- besides it was in the peak of Covid and I was scared
but I was really amazed with her exceptional listening skills
then she approached my situation with expidited -CT scans, X-Rays,
MRI within 1 day she had treatments right on spot-. I got relief within 1 week
Strongly recommend this Neurologist.
Not Happy with the service I received from Dr. Caprarella.she's distant and doesn't attempt to understand her patients. Comes off very dismissive. Did a nerve test over 2 weeks ago she was supposed to get back to me with my results and has yet to give me a call. Her office doesn't pick up the phone. I would not recommend her to anyone.
Excellent physician. Caring and compassionate. Listens carefully and approaches symptoms comprehensively. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a doctor that truly cares about her patients.
Ok, not much for Doctors. I'm rather old school. Just like things straight to the point. Don't sugarcoat things just be honest and watch your tongue. This doctor is straight up. No BS by the rules hardcore. So, if your not ready for that. Keep looking, I know I'm good. Very happy with her.
I have had a problem with my hands and elbows for many years and after numerous neurologists, neurosurgeons, orthopedists and even a surgery, it is a shame I did not have the opportunity to find Dr. Caparella sooner. She is not only professional and compassionate, but she is highly knowledgeable and eager to provide a medical answer to your symptoms and complaints through careful medical treatment and care. She not only provides face-to-face follow-up care but she also devises a personal plan of medical care and treatment. In addition, and astoundingly, she also performs her own sonograms and EMG's. This simply shows that Dr. Caparella is down to earth and hands-on with her patients; eager to find the source of the problem and a resolution. Anyone who would write negative reviews must have been denied pain medication (makes for a great doctor) or must have been having a bad day themselves. Patients would be only fortunate to be under her care. It is a shame how people could try to destroy someone through a review, especially a Doctor like her, who could do so much good for others needing health care. Dr. Caparella found a remedy for my health issues which I have been waiting over 8 years to find with other doctors. Dr. Caparella is not an ordinary doctor, she goes above and beyond the norm for patient care. I am never rushed in my visits, she explains everything clearly and I always leave confident that I am in good hands. I highly recommend this Doctor, not only by comparison but by first hand experience and knowledge. She is a life-saver, and has demonstrated to be nothing but professional, empathetic and most importantly extremely knowledgeable. I strongly urge those of you who rely on reviews, to rely on mine as we should all be so lucky to get the care and treatment we deserve from a fine Doctor such as she.
