Mediterranean Restaurant Risotto reviews
17I am always happy with how friendly and sweet the waiters are. Although there is normally a little wait, I don’t mind. I’ve never had any issues. Writing this review after 3/4 visits! Small menu but highly recommend.
I like a short menu with good options! Also, flexible with food changes. The service there is great! The waitress' are attentive to allergies. Would recommend having a reservation for groups of 4 and up.
Dinner was bad— the sweet corn risotto looked like Chinese fried rice in a smal bowl and tasted bland with only a few small shrimp. This was $26. The chicken francaise also tasted like someone just slapped egg on two pieces of chicken breast and poured watery lemon juice over it. The veggies that came with the dish were over cooked and maybe made from frozen. Parmesan risotto underneath was tasteless as well, we only had two bites.
Service was nice and attentive though.
Yesterday was the first of hopefully many times we'll eat there. The food and service were fabulous. Seating is tight but comfortable.
We had a tasty meal with 2 risottos and dessert. The peachy palmer drink was delicious and a bit dangerous, since the peachy sweetness covers much of the alcohol taste. The service was wonderful. They even made a half portion upon request.
I agree with the previous review. First of all, my husband and I were expecting at least a few traditional risotto dishes, as implied by the name of the restaurant. And for reference my husband is from the north of Italy, Treviso. Second, the food that we ordered was terrible. But we ate it because we ran errands during the first half of the day and then more errands to run after lunch. 1. We were starving, 2. We didn’t want to risk the staff doing something to our food by sending it back/reordering. I ordered crab cakes, which was burned and dry. My husbands’ Florentine Eggs Benedict was not poached (more hard broiled) and the English muffin was hard as a rock. The bartenders/servers didn’t even bother to ask us what we thought of the food. And lastly, for mediocre service to have gratuity built into the total of the check is insulting. Especially when the word gratuity is defined as “something given voluntarily or beyond obligation usually for some service”. For context, I’m not leaving this disappointing review because I have nothing better to do. I’ve worked in 4 star restaurants in Manhattan before and Risotto restaurant doesn’t deserve a satisfactory review. McDonald’s or Dunkin’ Donuts would have been a much better choice.
Seated immediately. Great service. Good drinks. Delicious food with lots of options. Party of three - everyone happy with their meal.
We had excellent service but felt the food was subpar. We were not very impressed. Maybe we are biased from the start because there just seems to be something wrong with putting American cheese in risotto but we wanted to try it to change our minds.
My egg was very over cooked. My cheeseburger risotto tasted like Italy and McDonald's clashed; perhaps perfect for a hangover. The fresh fruit didn't seem so fresh but perhaps cut down a few days ago. And not that I would tip any less but it was odd that they automatically add a 20% tip to your meal. I kind of found it convenient and wouldn't mind it being the norm though. My spouse said his food lacked flavor.
We might venture back to try dinner but we will stick with our Nonna's risotto recipes for now on.
Very disappointed in a brunch I spent $40 on. The eggs were hard as a rock and the toast was so crisp I could break it in half. My first and last brunch there, for sure!
Atmosphere, service,
Food all terrific.
Check the menu they have changed it. I'm not in favor
The brunch special with the bottomless mimosas or poinsettias is amazing! Highly recommend. Staff is very attentative.
Beautifully elegant place. A bunch of us went for brunch, the food came out fast and was hot and delicious! The coffee was superb. Service was wonderful. A slight issue with some bees that joined us since the windows and doors were open, because of the lovely autumn breeze from outside.
The food here is amazing! I have ordered here many times and never had bad food…. Everything I have ordered here has been delicious! The risotto with shrimp and sweet corn is my favorite! The portions are very generous also! I had enough for 3 meals with my dinner. I would highly recommend this restaurant!
We have been to Risotto before and once again it did not disappoint as we enjoyed a very good dinner and had a good time. We sat outside and service was very good. We had the Pita Board for an appetizer which was huge and probably could have skipped the entrees. Everything on the Pita Board was delicious. We had the Tuscan Salmon and the Trio for meals which were also very good. Since the Pita Board was such a large portion had to take most of the Trio home and it was just as good the following day. Although Risotto is about 30 minutes from home we will return at the next opportunity.
Friendly staff in a lovely, clean restaurant. Very nice spicy calmari and spinach ricotta wontons tapas. Delicious and plentiful chicken parm entree.
Very very good. I am pleased with the speedy service and the very good tasting food. Not to mention the waiter was pleasant and the customer service was out of this world. I will be back️
Very nice place, we had about 20 people for my favorite nieces college graduation party. My sister had reserved the whole patio but after watching the weather yesterday and asked could they accommodate us indoors. They had the perfect area just 2 steps up from the bar area, service was absolutely fantastic and food was great.
