American Restaurant ROBERT reviews
18 Food is really good, they were always checking up on to see if everything was
Good. Plus you have a great view
Of Columbus circle
We came here for dinner our first night in town for a real estate conference, super hungry straight off the plane, and this place certainly did not disappoint. The views of Columbus Circle from the tables right next to the windows are amazing. This is one of my partner Erik’s favorite places to dine in the city. It’s reliable and gets the job done. The lamb pappardelle was delicious (I ordered it without olives) as were the yucca fries, and the glass of wine was divine. I also enjoy how they have a section of their menu dedicated to the art in the space. It’s creative, artistic, and ambient. I would recommend this New York experience to a friend.
Absolutely fabulous time at Robert for a special dinner. The ambiance was perfect, not too noisy, gorgeous view, great food! Nobody is rushing you to finish your meal and you can truly enjoy the experience.
Super nice and friendly service! The ambience is fabulous with good views of Columbus Circle, Central Park and unfortunately Trump Tower… but the food did a good job of distracting us from the latter! Excellent food!
This place is all about the atmosphere – an elegant, dimly lit, quiet lounge bar overlooking Columbus Circle that is unlike just about any other bar in the area. (They have zero TV screens!) I have never had the food there, rather, I drop in for coffee in the afternoon or drinks in the evening. A perfect spot for a date!
The food was delicious, drinks were great and the atmosphere was relaxed and inviting. Attended a work Christmas party.
Although I didn't specify that we were celebrating a wedding when I made the reservation, the server picked up on it and delivered! Fabulous food and service with fantastic night views.
Views are amazing and the french toast was one of the best I’ve ever had! The burger is also good.
Beautiful restaurant with beautiful views of the Christmas market and Central Park! The food was absolutely fantastic and our service was phenomenal. My fiancé and I couldn’t have chosen a better place to celebrate our anniversary with our friends. We will absolutely come back when we visit NYC again. I apologize for blurry photos, my camera isn’t the best.
Incredible experience. From the food, the service, and the views a perfect combination for and excellent dinner. I can’t say enough to describe what the experience was like, but it was for my daughters birthday, and we had a great time.
We had a phenomenal lunch at Robert! The ambience, the views, the service, and the food were a fantastic experience.
We greatly enjoyed the Rigatoni (flavorful and balanced taste, great presented), the Amish Chicken (juicy and tasty!), Shishito Peppers, and Jasmine Tea.
Last but not least, the Sweet Potato Creme Brulee was novel but oh so delicious, and the complimentary Macaroons were a lovely way to cap off an excellent dining experience. Highly recommend!
I liked this little restaurant. On our last night in New York we just walked in without knowing anything about it. Ended up having good food, in a nice atmosphere with views. Would recommend
Quiet gem on a busy NYC day. We enjoyed the Taylor Swift garment exhibit at the museum of art and design (awesome!) followed by good espresso and dessert. Apple Cake was unexpectedly complex and not very sweet. The Bomboloni was fabulous - melt in your mouth warm donuts with lovely dipping sauces. So good we ordered a second round and enjoyed the fantastic view.
Somewhat under the radar but such a great option for brunch, lunch and dinner around Columbus circle.
What would I change? The burger: instead of one thick patty, make it 2 thin ones… change the bread for a softer one, and make the yuca fries thinner…
Excellent food, excellent wine, excellent service. Price commensurate with the service.
I highly recommend for special occasions!
Beautiful place with a great location. Great Views of Columbus Circle and Central Park. I’ve been there for lunch, brunch and dinner always a nice experience. Meals & drinks are delicious.
The service and atmosphere are great. The taste of the food is at average level. No (positive or negative) surprise.
The views are very nice. I didn’t particularly like the seating as I don’t like being placed right next to other diners. I know, it’s a space thing. The good seats were taken. Otherwise, the food was very good. The service was friendly and fairly efficient. The Piano was a good touch. Though a little distracting at times. The setting is beautiful. Overall a pleasant experience. Try it.
