Robert H. Treman State Park, Upper Entrance reviews
18This park did not disappoint! It was quite majestic. We opted to drive to the 2nd entrance and started on the rim trail, returning on the gorge trail. Thos worked out great as it put us traveling facing the falls.
This is an awesome place.all the parks are similar in NY state, waterfalls, gorges. 9$ to park here but very nice short trail, however steep! Use a walking stick. Picturesque, Different trails with different distances. Robert Treman sports an old mill that we can go inside. (Facilities here) ample parking. Not for the feint of heart. Very nice!
Beautiful waterfalls and well maintained trails. Bring water, the hike back up to the top is intense, so take your time.
Park with hiking trail and swimming hole near to parking area, ample parking with $9 per car fees,
During my visit to Ithaca I saw the amazing pictures of this park and decided to visit. But unfortunately it was a rainy week. It was about 5-6 miles away so we still decided to drive up and see the area. The drive was well worth it. The entrance of the park right behind the welcome center there was an amazing waterfall. We enjoyed the view. We hope to return on a better day and go on the 2.5 mile hike.
Excellent state park! It has a variety of campsites, cabins, hiking trails and even a swimming hole.
Awesome park with a gorgeous trail, little mill museum, and swimming. A daily New York state park pass will be valid at all state parks that day, we did this after Watkins Glen and got in free here. The trail is pretty intense, but definitely worth it. Go to the south entrance for the swimming.
For a $9 parking fee, this park has neat trails, waterfalls, and an old mill/museum that was quite informative. I hadn’t thought much about the Civilian Conservation Corps since my high school US History class, but the free exhibit in the Old Mill really made history come alive.
My favorite park in this area. Upper Treman has a beautiful walkway along a stream with waterfalls. Got some great pictures and enjoyed the hike.
Mind blowing experience - The serene jaw dropping views are to kill for. Took the Upper Parking lot -> Gorge trail and the short loop to the Rim trail for the awesome Lucifer falls view up top. The Climb is tough! No two ways about it but it is rewarding in the end.
Nominal parking fees at the Entry.the good part is that the ticket is valid through the day at any state park in the area.
In our view, this hidden gem is better than the Watkins Glen experience.
It's a love place for an easy hike. Well maintained paths, great views. This place also host a Shakespeare in the park event which is delightful
Beautiful place but man this was crowded on a summer day. People leave trash behind and play music. This was not cool and disrespectful to nature. I regret but I will not be back. They should limit how many people can get in.
Beautiful hiking area. So well maintained with clean restrooms. Very helpful and fellow hikers.
I am very happy to hope that everyone will know this place. It is a place suitable for family activities. It has beautiful natural scenery. For the current situation, it is really good for the soul. I hope everyone likes it.
I love this park! I first visited it 46 years ago and I will never get tired of the natural beauty found here.
One of the most beautiful and spectacular waterfalls in the area of the Finger Lakes. Must see this. Trail 4 miles, quite difficult for 60 year olds. Those who do not want to go the whole trail can park in the Upper parking and walk for a scenic view along the upper and then along the lower trail. This is not difficult. A very beautiful place
God's gift!
See the beauty, hear the melody of stream and falls, and smell the nature and pure air around you. This is true meditation without even thinking about it. Enjoy!
