Rocca Cafe & Lounge, Brooklyn NY

From the moment I entered the restaurant I felt uneasy from the way the host looked at me and my wife up and down til the moment she sat us down and then as I turned my head slightly I noticed her whispering something to the waiter and them smiling but still I said let me try the food and my make up for the unwelcoming approach but was I ever so wrong. If I went to the dinner I would have got better tasting food for 1/4 the price and still it was very difficult to talk to the staff as there English was very poor I understand it’s a Turkish restaurant but still having staff that can communicate with people who can’t speak the Turkish language would be a plus and the only thing that saved the day was the hookah which was decent but way way over priced. Overall I just had such bad experience with this Turkish restaurant and I don’t think I could step foot in any other Turkish restaurant in the future. FYI any restaurant that puts in the tips automatically you know your not going to get the right service and food.

From the food to the atmosphere, this is THE PLACE TO GO. Everything was on point. Service was top notch. The food was so good it reminded me of the local dishes I had in Turkey. Chicken chops were phenomenal.

I have came here a few times with my fiancé and i can say that the service and the food is good! I really like the pasta specifically the fettuccine Alfredo! I also like there desserts! My fiancé enjoy the liver and the Branzino.
The only reason i am giving them a one star review for the service is that every time we seem to want to order at 10ishh maybe at night we call the restaurant and the line says it’s not available. Keep in mind they close at 1am, so then we go to the restaurant and then we tell them we would like to place a pick up order and they take our order, but the girl working in the take out order place seem very rude and doesn’t seem to care. Just very frustrating.

I cannot believe this place is so horrible. I made a reservation since Tuesday for a very special occasion. Told them I need a table by the water and even had them check with the chef that they will have a special mix fruit cake. Now that I'm at the restaurant they don't have at table for me. The staffs in the front is telling me she is sorry but yet they r setting up a table and put reserve on it for others coming. How rude, disappointing and not very helpful. Also she wanted to give me a table next to a wall where I cannot see anything. This place is the worse in hospitality, friendliness and so not what I had thought.will never recommend anyone to go there.

So much fun, the menu is delicious, really good portion sizes and the hookahs are amazing.

Beautiful atmosphere, beautiful view, food was very good, especially the mixed grill and above all the staff was super nice and helpful! Highly recommended!

Server Mehmet ruined our family breakfast with his weird attitude. I’m not sure what’s going on with him.
Food was fine, Turkish tea was the best part of our experience.
Nothing special, maybe they will change my mind next time. I love this location since they opened, but I didn’t deserve a negative Saturday morning.

The food was okay, the service was amazing, and the atmosphere was nice but too expensive for nothing actually, prices are elevated. My friends and I had 3 margaritas, water, chicken wings, 1 hooka, and Caprese salad for almost $250USD If you want to consume, get your pocket ready.

Rocca definitely Rocks in terms of quality food, great service and friendliness of staff, the interior and the views of Marine really adds up to the atmosphere in this cafe. Definitely recommend. The prices are affordable for the enjoyment you get.

I was surprised by how great the mixed grill platter was. The chicken was actually juicy, not dry. Lambs chops were cooked perfectly! The drinks were okay. Not strong but paired nicely with hookah. Overall vibe was lively but chill. Cool spot to hang out with a few friends.

Yasin was great, my daughter 21st bday was amazing, the service, atmosphere, food.
I apologize for not remembering the name of the helper that kept everything neat.
The bathroom were so clean that I had to give a good tip to the girl as welll. Thank you!
Team work make the dream work

Singer girl on Friday and Saturday is annoying! Gave me headache never coming on weekend again!

Went here for a party and had an overall good experience. The best part about this place is definitely the views - we had a table reserved right next to the windows, where you get a nice look at the boats and sky heading into sunset. The food was alright; grilled chicken wrap and fries were good, as was the chicken shish kebab, though the shrimp and fish my party ordered weren't to their liking and the vegetarian among us wished there were more meat-free options available (perhaps there were, but it wasn't clear from the menu). We all loved the bread, and it was difficult not to overload on it while we awaited our dishes!

Music was playing the entire time we were there. At one point a live singer came on and she was awesome! However, the recorded music was a bit loud, and if you're not into places where people around you are smoking hookahs, it may not be for you.

Ambience and decor are incredible. Food on the other hand is just ok drinks are watered down and the servers and busboys are constantly taking your plates away when u are almost done with your food. I understand trying to be clean but they are just rude as some of the food is not finished and they are rushing taking the plates away.
