Rochester DMV Office reviews
15Love the *new* place. Staff was nice. Make an appt before hand. Even if you do wait 15-20 min in line, you will be called almost immediately once you get seat and a number.
So so bad. I’m came here about 4.15pm but one of African American black lady was too rude (bad attitude) with me by the door she was seating. I think she not perfect person for this job. I’m sorry to feel this kind of person got job here in DMV Rochester e Main Street. It’s totally shame
Same old DMV. Slower than slow EVEN with an appointment. (11: 15 appt. Which took 6 weeks to get. Number came up at 12: 15).
Today must have been the worst day at DMV in many years. Appointments first, then walk ins. Waited in line and never made it to the front. Very frustrating. Stop the appointments. Get back to the way it was before covid all started. First come first serve.
There is no sign outside indicating DMV. Office is very small yet quaint, but you get personable attention to your matters. I would much rather go to another DMV office.
They were friendly and very efficient. Helped me get everything I needed done with patience and a knowledge of what they were doing.
The people at the downtown office are rude and no help me being a first time customer at the dmv i was trying to put my title and get my plates and because I didn't have proof of my insurance at that moment was I got like 15 minutes later the lady said because I left and walk back and she couldn't give me my plates so I had to set up a whole another appointment all the way on May 21 to be able to drive my car and she could help me in the same day were I already had to wait 2 months just to get the title and now I have to wait a little under 2 months for my plates
Instant and comprehensive answers to email questions.
Comes across as competent and conscientious organization:
thank you!
The most efficient and friendly government workers I have experienced in New York state in 15 years living here
Everyone employee I came in contact with was rude! Even more of a miserable experience than usual.
OK experience at this DMV. Friendly staff that was helpful, but the issue I came here to solve remained there after I left, They did try, it just a lot of paper work. But they tried.
I was annoyed on 1/28: I had to rearrange my schedule, because I'm on my husband's car title, and he was told (the FIRST time he visited) that I had to be there to present ID and sign. Ok. Fine. We got there, he was admitted, I was told to wait until I was needed. And then he came out and said, "Oh.all you have to do is sign the papers. " URGH. I could have done that at HOME! Why couldn't they have just said that?
While I definitely had challenges getting my car registered during COVID, I was pleasantly surprised by the customer service I received from the Assistant Manager, Ms. Sawyer. My problem was resolved and I am grateful that she made it her business to make sure everything got done. Problems are expected, it’s how others handle it that determine the outcome. Well done!
Having to make an appointment was a pain, that being said I was glad that it wasn't packed. Plenty of distance between people, the staff was excellent and helpful.
It seems like every time I have to go here all the employees have the worst attitudes like they're mad because you showed up to get service or something I honestly would recommend going to Greece for the Henrietta DMV
