Rochester Ice Center reviews
7I signed my kids up for learn to skate classes. The whole class is 1 hr long. But the training session is only 20 mins. So the remaining 40 mins is for self practice during which the little kids feel bored, confused, uninterested. There is no fun activity to motivate them like skating around obstacle, retrieving objects and such. There are only 1- 2 instructors for 3 groups of kids and 1 -2 assistants who just skate around and have very little interaction with the kids. The rink is big but the progam should be designed better. One time they didnt have my kid's skate size so he had to wear smaller skates.
Looks like an expansion / addition construction project going on. Popular spot for youth hockey leagues.
Well run tournament. Clean lockerooms. Great ice. Front desk employee is awesome! Fdil
Love this place, the employees are so friendly, it's an awesome place to be
2022 Edit
Four years later and I still believe this! There’s no place like home!
I skate here twice a week in co-ed hockey leagues. The quality of the ice is generally good. There is plenty of locker room space for a multitude of teams and they do have a separate women's locker room. There are two sets of public bathrooms, which are clean. The bar is roomy and has a variety of bar foods and drinks to choose from. The staff are friendly. There is ample room in the parking lot. They host a variety of levels of hockey leagues in addition to open skates. The locker rooms were recently painted.:)
Nice and warm to watch hockey games
It's def in the top 3 that I have been to
The East rink had some seating but the heat was turned off and it was cold. There was a lounge but no TVs playing the games there, those were in the lobby. There was a nice bar but it is only available by stairs.
