Rock Castle Lake George reviews
20This was a great place for a weekend getaway! Location is perfect, close to many tourist attractions in the area and restaurants. The hosts were wonderful, we were lucky to meet the owner who’s a delightful person. The room was very clean and neat. All in all, really appreciated our stay there!
Rock Castle resort was a great place. The owner was so accommodating and helpful, the place was perfect cabin for my son and girlfriend. Cabin was great and gave such a good Lake front vibe and so close to town. Would definitely go back again and stay
We had a great stay at Rock Castle Resort last weekend. It is a family run hotel, the owner is very nice and helpful. The rooms are good, location is just 3 mins drive from Lake George village area. The property is peaceful and has a nice swimming pool too. Overall, it is a good hotel to stay!
Peaceful place to stay with family. The owner very nice, helpful and understandable. Is a place that I will recommend to my friends!
Very nice place clean comfortable place to stay really nice lady to deal with at the desk would definitely stay again
Beautiful place to stay. The owner was very pleasant and helpful. The cabin was fully equipped, spacious and clean. I love that is pet friendly and that my dog was able to enjoy the stay as well. We had a great time!
The owner super friendly and very attentive to the needs! The place is very nice and very close to the lake, there is only one thing that I would change and that is that the beds are very uncomfortable and super noisy, apart from that the rest is very good!
We came with 6 people, my fil, mil, bf, my two kids and myself.
The owner (male) was very.intimidating. Showed lack of anything, but did give slight attitude. If you have a dog, it's only allowed 30lb dog, apparently it's on the website but it's not. We have a lab.
Between 6 of us there was 3/4 of a roll of toilet paper, no towels, and two things of soap. We had to ask for towels so bring your own.
Our room.it was not comfortable. It was like laying on a pile of rocks.
There was dirt that we didn't have (snickers bar, peanut shells) under the bed and on the little stand.
We also had things stolen from the room.
I would not recommend this place. At all.
The wife was very nice, I'll say that.
Everything about this trip was lovely, except the hotel stay! Beware.
Very nice people here. Other than the Caterpillars falling from the trees, lol, it’s a nice cozy place to stay.
We went there last year and this year. We have lots of fun!
It’s family and pet friendly, specially if you have little children, it is a safe haven. They have game room, basketball and volleyball court. Also, swimming pool. You can do bon fire. It’s like a home away from home. It’s just 5-10 minutes drive from town, away from the crowd. You can save money too, we cooked our meals at the cabin, the host and his wife is very accommodating. They made sure we welcomed.
Had a 2-night stay in a cottage with a full side bed. Cabins are functional yet comfortable. Outdoor space has picnic tables and fire pits, and various recreational facilities. Nice place to spend time in some beautiful surroundings. Easy access to Lake George Village and Bolton Landing. Shout-out to the friendly staff who made sure we enjoyed our stay!
The owners were very nice and made everyone comfortable. The room was great as it had everything you would need. As a kid I enjoyed the loft which was rather large and had a window to look out on the grounds. They provided a Roku television that had everything including YouTube and Netflix. There was a beautiful in-ground pool that was crystal clear and the deep end was nine feet deep. Also they welcome dogs in certain cabins, but tell them first. I totally recommend this to everyone who is looking for someplace close to Lake George but away from the business!
The owner stalked me and my family the whole day of 4th of july. Staff was very disrespectful. I have a Disabled mother it took us 3 hours to unload. On the 4th i haf guest come over with their kids, as it says in the policy that guest are allowed until 11 pm the owner than called cops and tried to kick us off the property without a refund! We explained everyting to the cops and they said he had to give us a refund. He than said we could stay! We decided to pack up and leave. The bathroom sink was clogged and overfilling. The beds were very uncomfortable and they false advertised. I highly Recommend whoever decides to go to this Establishment to Reconsider.
My boyfriend and I just stayed here with our 2 dogs for a few nights, we stayed in a cabin which was very clean (what we look for when staying places). The owner was very nice and welcoming, not too far from the main strip of lake George a nice family atmosphere with a lot to do on property as well!
I stayed there a week with my partner.the host was really welcoming, they invited us to eat with them twice even the first night when we arrived late.if we go back in vacation there, we would reconsider that place.
Rock Castle Resort was a beautiful place to stay. The staff was over the top friendly and the rooms were spacious, welcoming and very clean. We plan on staying here when we return to Lake George next summer. I highly recommend staying with Rock Castle.
We had a lot of fun and mostly appreciate the staff who were all so kind and very friendly. The owner makes you feel like family. Thank you
An amazing place for a family get away. Wither you stay in the Castle sweets or adorable cabins. Theres tons of activities to do right on site and still close to Lake George and Queensbury for more fun.
The cabin we stayed in was a bit dated but super clean. I was pleasantly surprised to find a fully working kitchen with pans etc and a real coffee pot. The owner and his family are very nice and accommodating as well. We can't wait to come back!
This is our 5th year staying at Rock Castle. This year, our family rented two cabins, and a room in the castle.
Absolutely no complaints.
The owner is amazingly friendly, kind, and quick to make your stay a pleasant one.
Unfortunately, we had to call him at 10: 30pm because we had noticed our TV screen had been shattered. The owner was at our door 5 minutes later with a replacement TV.
In our 35 years of vacationing, we have NEVER felt the welcoming hospitality that we get at RCR
A+
The owner, location and price was great! Slightly off the main road and nice and quiet atmosphere. We stayed in their basic room which could've used some updates, however we mentioned it to the owner and he gave us a bottle of wine and offered to remedy any issues we had. The owner cares very much about you having a pleasant stay!
