RocRooms - Rochester Student Housing reviews
6I spent the past year renting with RocRooms, and the only reason I am not continuing to rent with them for the next year is due to Co-op. There was a bit of an adjustment period after Holden left and Eastman Property Management took over, but at the core, it is still the same RocRooms that I initially met. It is one of the best bang for your buck student housing options in Rochester, and the features they offer- fully furnished including cookware, monthly cleaning service for common areas, and a Roku with Netflix and Hulu, make it totally worth it. I have and intend to continue recommending them to students in Rochester looking for off campus housing.
I had a very positive experience with RocRooms. Very straightforward company to deal with, and good service. It was a pleasure to live in the house.
I had a great experience with RocRooms as an off-campus student for one year. The management team was attentive and easy to communicate with. The cleaning services were fantastic. I recommend checking out their properties if you are looking to move off campus.
Hello. I spent about 6 years with RocRooms while I got my bachelor's and master's degree at the University of Rochester. My own experience with RocRooms has been pretty consistently great. They were always prompt and attentive and understanding. No complaints here. I think they are probably the best student housing company in Rochester. Other companies tend to run student housing like slum lords. But RocRooms always had great professionalism and attention to detail in my opinion. I don't really have any horror stories to share. I think they are awesome. Although like the previous poster I do miss Holden, and I liked the way he ran things. (Bring back Holden please.) He was always fair with me and funny to correspond with. I've heard mixed reviews about this new company they are working with, Eastman Property Management. But I've personally never had a problem with them. All in all, I think RocRooms is as good as it gets in Rochester for student housing. I would definitely rent with them again, and I would recommend them with complete confidence to anyone I know.
I have lived in a Rocrooms house for 3 years now and have lived in campus housing and had two other land lords before this. There is really no comparison, with, Rocrooms being the clear favorite across the board. Fair prices and unparalleled service. Time for me to move for my PhD, but I would absolutely rent one of their places if they had one in Chicago XD.
If you are considering this over campus housing, it should really be a no brainier (unless housing is part of your aid package, then things are complicated lol). You will pay less money for more space, a higher quality home, better customer service for things like repairs and, imo, just a better atmosphere. Noise could really be a problem on campus, but the tenants Rocrooms finds tend to be respectful if you bring up issues like noise after certain hours. Just save yourself time, money and headaches and rent with Rocrooms.
