Rong Hang reviews
3 Fenyanglou is a Fuzhou restaurant (Fujian cuisine). I often visit it. The proprietress and waiters are very nice. As soon as we come in, we have pickled radish and fried peanuts as snacks. Today we ordered pepper swallow soup, beef ribs, and fried rice cakes. Eat it, it tastes pretty good. The prices are reasonable and popular, making it a good place to have a cheap lunch in Manhattan.
Update: I recently ordered steamed crucian carp and it tasted pretty good, very fresh. The cooking of rice cakes is a bit tough, I hope it can be improved.
I’ll try again for more choices that might not show in the main menu, which is more authentic! Service fruits after meal.
It's an authentic Fu Zhou restaurant but can be a little daunting for people not from this area. Servers spoke Fu Zhou accents and menu items mostly are at market price. However the seafood is very fresh and tasty. You really have to bring a friend who knows their language so that they can order off menu items!
They allow smoking in the restaurant which I don't really like. It can get very noisy too sometimes.
