Rosalie's Cucina, Skaneateles NY

Let’s call this what it is, a slightly upscale Macaroni Grill. It’s energetic (loud) and cramped. Service checks all the boxes but is hurried with long breaks between interactions. The food is good, but the wine list by the glass is mediocre. If that’s what you’re looking for, you’ll enjoy it, but it’s not fine dining.

Best Italian in the area! There's a reason this place has not only survived but thrived for so long. Strongly recommend adding this to your itinerary if you're in the area!

If we don’t have a reservation we enjoy eating at the bar. The bartenders are fantastic and will always make sure your drink is perfect. The food is superb and always consistent. Highly recommend Rosalie’s!

Good meals, deserts, atmosphere and really good staff. Drink selection is good too. Worth the stop if you are looking for a good Italian meal.

Good choice. When in the finger lakes and Skaneateles. The outdoor seating and fireplace with electric infrared is a good choice during modern weather

We got married here in Rosalie's Romano Room. Our microwedding had 18 people, but the room has capacity for about 48. We were able to have a prefixed menu arranged ahead of time, and the wedding went without a hitch! Lisa, the house manager, was incredible in orchestrating the event ahead of time, and Matt was our fantastic and extremely attentive server and bartender the entire night. Both Matt and Lisa did an excellent job in making everything perfect for our special day. Our food was absolutely supurb and was served family style. Each course was enjoyed thoroughly, and we will have leftovers for days and days to come! Highly recommend this amazing place for small events, or to simply enjoy for dinner! We will be sure to spend each anniversary dinner here and we will be bringing back our families for more! Thank you Matt, Lisa, and the Rosalie's family for an incredible day to remember! We had a most exceptional dining experience here. At Mirbeau next for the weekend and friends recommended we check out Rosie’s. Food was excellent, nice portions, you can definitely share a dessert with 4 people. Fun craft cocktails. Bread was excellent and they give you a fresh loaf to take home our server Theresa did a very nice job. Bring a marker to write on the wall. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Food is hands down delicious. Also I have 5 food allergies…our waiter was AMAZING and went over options and how they could alter meals for me. Eating out with allergies is stressful but they made it such a great experience.

I cannot express enough how lovely of an evening my husband and family (toddler and infant) had here. We booked a reservation early in evening to avoid annoying others with our children- wow we had the most amazing experience. Payton was our waiter and went out of his way to ensure our toddler was happy (brought her crayons and special treats). Our food was brought promptly and was the incredibly delicious. Cocktails were incredible. THE BREAD! Honestly one of the best meals I’ve had in the last year. THANK YOU PAYTON AND ROSALIE’S!

Had a nice brunch here with some friends! They have a long wine list and it's incredibly hard to pick. You can ask the staff what they would recommend, they are very friendly!

We have been going to Rosalie's for many years now. Each visit is ALWAYS excellent! The numerous dishes are prepared to perfection, the servers are very professional and attentive. We would and have highly recommended to friends and family.

Disappointing meal at a local favorite.
We've enjoyed dinning at Rosalie's for many year, most times just dining over the bar. But today, after not visiting for sometime, we were disappointed. The Sautéed Spinach longer comes sautéed. The Shrimp Scampi was plain and dry. Even the bread, always a favorite, was cold and dry.
Other diners we shared our disappointment with, agreed.
Sorry Rosalie's, we are going to have to rethink our dining plans.

We hosted our company Christmas party here and had a phenomenal time. The service was on point and the food was absolutely delicious, even with our large party. Will not have to even think about anywhere else for our party next year.

Pasta was VERY uncooked. Same meal I've ordered over and over. Look forward to enjoying it and the pasta wasn't even al dente. They usually hit it out of the park.

Covid-2 weeks after eating here. Now I am not saying that is where my husband caught it, however the restaurant was packed and the hood in the back where they cook was broken so I am thinking that had something to do with the air being filtered? I could taste the smoke in my throat. We both wear masks and up until then had really no contact with crowds of any kind so I strongly suspect this is where he contracted. The restaurant was packed to the rafters and very oppressive. I will say the food is excellent but I'm steering clear of this place not worth the risk. Just one of those place where they could care less about their customers.

With signatures of diners adorning every inch of the interior walls, this restaurant has excellent Italian fare, great wine list and super service. The seating is also intimate.

Delicious Italian food in a neat place with great atmosphere. It's an energetic place, not quiet, so if you are looking for quiet, this is not your place. But if you want fine dining with friends or family in a great atmosphere with fantastic food, then this is your place.

Mark the bartender was grate mixed a perfect bourbon Manhattan with our own vermouth (Cinzano Bianca) - Ryan our waiter was extremely knowledgeable and professional.

However the Caesar salad lacked in taste and was not out of the ordinary. The pan seared Halibut was a little over done.
Very nice place and will give it a second try.
