Mexican Restaurant Rosie's reviews
17Me and my friends mainly went here because I share the same name with the place. We had a reservation but had to wait a bit to be seated. We were placed by the stairs down to the bathroom so it was very busy where we sat which wasn’t ideal. Our waitress seemed very flustered and not very friendly. I got two tacos which were ok but weren’t anything out of this world.
Have been several times and it was fine. This time, however, the service, while pleasant, was slow in general and I had to ask several times for my drink after everyone else at the table had been served. The menu was much more limited than I remember but the guac and churros were good. However, the Enchiladas Suizas was ghastly. I don't see myself going back.
Romeo has the best costumer service. He listened to me attentively and was very kind. I’d definitely recommend coming here again especially for happy hour. Cheap eats and cheap drinks!
Consistent and delicious. I would skip the rice tho. I get it every time I order and I am always disappointed. Great salsa! Wish they had a grilled fish taco on the menu instead of fried. Also wish they had topo Chico here! Cmon mannnn
Its wayyyyy to dark and the food has no flavor taste like water if u put the tortillas on top of water it will float thats how thin they are.and the drinks are horrible some fruit drink came with a branch of ment not a sprig.i asked for a few of my favs like jack Daniel they didnt have they brought me something with brown liquor and sweet with a grilled baby corn cob gross.service was cool the bathroom is down stair if a person drinks too much its a roller coaster and its dark! The stalls remind of those booths u see on tv the guy puts a coin and the lady dances for a second smh the sink is two tube basins out side the bathroom so u have to wait ur turn to use it
Really interesting corner spot which is alarmingly big for the area—but their food is somehow still great. It gets extremely crowded there and so it might seem a little cramped, and they play the music loud, but overall the experience is still amazing.
Good tacos
Great service!
You made my Day Sever Jessica thank for you excellent service and great recommendations we will be back soon!
Great place if you’re not on a time crunch - service is slow. But if you’re just looking to chill, eat good food, and drink good drinks, definitely recommend. Fun but not crazy atmosphere. The frozen mango margarita is one of the best I’ve ever had. And definitely get the corn appetizer - it will surprise you in a great way!
Nice brunch spot, we came on a Sunday. Nice food and service, corner location - can dine in, dine outside, or dine in with the walls pushed away.
Incredibly solid with good flavors and reasonable (for this neighborhood) prices. Portions are not grossly huge, and the dishes aren’t drowning in grease or cheese. This isn’t tex-mex and thank god for it. The ambience is great on a summer day with their mixture of indoor/outdoor seating.
The margarita I got was good, but the tacos were just okay. Not super flavorful unfortunately. I’m not sure I would go back.
The best. We live overseas where decent Mexican food is impossible to find. As native Californians, this is a fate worse than death for us. Rosie’s is only a 6 hour flight from our current home, and honestly the airfare is worth it for the chilaquiles. Hell, we should do it every weekend. The tacos are also great. We very much appreciate the family friendly nature of the restaurant as well.
I discovered Rosie's in January of 2023 as part of my rebuild of restaurant recommendations post COVID devastation of the industry. Since then I have been there three times, and each time was unique and excellent. Whether you come for absolutely spectacular margarita pitchers or the home made tortilla kitchen right in the middle of the dining floor - there is no element of the experience that would disappoint. The place does have a very open floor plan, so when crowded, it is loud - but that is the noise of the people and not the artificial pounding of the sound system. Mucho gusto!
Best HH in town! Been here a few times and service, food and atmosphere is great. Love the Gordita and the spicy Margarita.
A solid place for a big group brunch. It’s not as chaotic as other places in the neighborhood, you can find resys, and the food is actually solid.
It was my first time dinning at this restaurant. Of course my friend and I decided to go for Cinco De Mayo. Let’s just say I thought there was a celebrity dining in there because it was packeddddd. There was a long line and on that day it was no reservations only walk-ins. So my friend and I planned ahead. The staff was amazing from the beginning to the end. The food is authentic savory and the drinks were strong. I most definitely will be coming back again. My favorite dish so far is the chicken enchiladas made from scratch fresh cooked corn tortillas. My firmed and I had a great time we were just rushed we were able to take out time and hangout. The music playlist was cool as well. Yesterday vibes was amazing everyone was literally just having a good time and enjoying each other company. Before we left we were gifted two tequila shots and the quality of tequila was nice and smooth.
Great margaritas! Yummy relatively authentic Mexican food (I say as someone from SoCal). Nice vibes, friendly staff, awesome location.
