Ruby's Cafe, New York NY

One of my favorites, never had anything from here that I didn't love! The food tastes so fresh and clean. Also they have gluten free options and are very accommodating of their menu. I order takeout probably twice a month and the pricing is reasonable. Highly recommend!

This restaurant is somewhat of a soho staple these days. The food is good. The drinks COULD be better, but they’ll do in a pinch. Although I will say that the sangria tastes watered down, and I once ordered a mimosa and had to ask if there was champagne in it or if they had given me just orange juice— draw your own conclusions. The real issue with Ruby’s on Mulberry street is that the service is quite awful. The hosts are scatter brained at best (but they sure are cute… management, please re-assess). The servers also seem to think that a slow pace is normal in New York. Wrong. I cannot say that any of the times I’ve visited that the service was either quick or efficient. Perhaps they need to hire more servers… or maybe pay attention less to looks and more to efficiency. To sum up, go for the food Bc it’s tasty, but don’t have plans scheduled immediately after Bc you will most likely be late.

Ps— good luck with getting them to answer the phones. 50/50 toss up if they will or won’t.

Wonderful brunch, lunch or dinner place. Pleasure to go there at any time of the day.

Our waitress Erica was awesome! She had great recommendations and we enjoyed our food and drinks! Service was quick and enjoyable.

I love Ruby's but the service today was abysmal. We waited 45mins at 4pm today for a table. We ended up grabbing a crepe around the corner, and as we paid for our crepe we got a text message saying our table was ready. The hostess seated us, the server gave us our waters.then some guy with a French accent told us we werent allowed outside food in the restaurant. Fair enough, but we waited 45 mins for a table and both the hostess and server had no issue with it. If they'd told us earlier, no problem. We couldnt keep it at the table. The guy told us to eat it outside in 37 degree weather then come back in and order. We didn't come back.

The food was great, service was alright. Prices were… New York. I split the avocado toast and the ricotta hot cakes. We also had the blue latte and I had the pineapple mint juice.

Absolutely delicious! Amazing atmosphere, great music, and delicious food. My boyfriend and I are visiting from out of town and decided to come here and it was one of the best decisions we could have made! We will be coming back

The music was at the perfect volume.

Our food came out lightning fast and piping hot.

We started with the Brussels. Crispy without being overdone. Nice vinaigrette. Surprise sweet relish in the bottom.

Our entrees were the vodka fusilli and the spaghetti pesto.

The fusilli were cooked perfectly, and the sauce was rich, salty, and savory without crossing the line. The crispy basil topper was a nice touch.

The spaghetti was perfectly al dente. The vegetables were present, but missing something. A slight char may have added some texture. Compared to the fusilli, the dish seemed incomplete. It needed something sour; vinegar or a dash of lemon juice maybe.

After dropping our food, we didn’t see our server again till we asked for the check.

Had to request the water pitcher to be refilled.

Overall, it was a great experience. I would recommend it to a friend, and would stop by myself next time I’m in the neighborhood and hungry.

I still think of the shrimp spaghetti I had in Manhattan.strongly recommend. It's a little bit salty. I do not like salty. But the saltiness was perfect with sour and fatty taste of the sauce.

Always go for dinner but finally switched it up and came for brekkie. The egg sandwich and the ricotta hot cakes are bangers

Great brunch/lunch spot in SOHO. We arrived at 10AM on Sunday and there was no wait for four people outside, but half an hour wait for indoors, which is totally reasonable for Sunday brunch in the city. However, wish we sat outside because the people under the heated lamps looked a lot warmer than us - it was freezing indoors.

On to the food: everything was delicious and fresh. I got the poached eggs and added halloumi on top - a delicious combo. Their fries were hot and super crispy. The hot cakes were the only item we were just okay on. Service was pretty quick and friendly. Definitely will return.

Very delicious meal! The classic geese burger was very good (but a little hard to eat), the fries had a bit of a weird cheesy taste to them. The atmosphere was great and the staff was brilliant!

Timeless spot to eat, definitely a place you can visit over and over again and still be in love with what you order. I love Ruby’s they never let me down.
