Rudy's Lakeside Drive-In, Oswego NY

Ordered take out. Asked to have the fish not placed in the buns as they get soggy fast. Asked for them on the side.no buns were with the order. Haddock was average. Fries were soggy. I had the chicken gyro.rather tasteless. Bottom line: will not be dining there again.

My favorite fish hot center with cheese, and 1/2order of scallops. So good. I asked for 2 go and they forgot about the tin foil, so food was a bit cooler when I got home. But still good. The cook had not liked the look of the 1st fish, so he redid the order.very grateful for taking the time to make sure the quality was good.

I'm 67 now, been going there since the 1950's.
At least that is what my parents told me.
They sat me between them and let me chew on the bun as an infant!

Good place to eat. The guy that took our order was kind of rude and acted frustrated because we asked what was on certain plates. Other than that it was a good place to eat.

My first trip based on local recommendation. I was.not disappointed. Enjoyed excellent seafood sitting outdoors watching the sun set on Lake Ontario. I'll be back.

The wife and I went here over the weekend. We got there as soon as they opened. First time there too. We literally just wanted to try a little bit of everything. The Clam strips are good, just very basic like most clam strips. The Cod wasn’t anything like other reviews. Not greasy, not chewy, and whatever issue there was with the skin it’s been taken care of since then. That meat sauce took me back home to the Brooklyn for a second. That was pretty good. Service was perfect and from large order to being served, maybe 6 mins! Very fast. Only thing I didn’t like was the bathrooms the fact that there were spiders all up and down the walls in the dining room and benches outside. Which makes me wonder just how much they clean or don’t clean there.

If it were not for the lake and the beautiful view, I would never recommend this restaurant. The food is average, the portions are average, the price is far more than comparable places serving seafood. If you love a fantastic sunset, Rudy’s is the place for you - as long as you do not mind an expensive dinner served on a paper plate.

YES! You found one of the most amazing places to get a wonderful lunch or dinner in ALL OF UPSTATE! Now, what are you waiting for? Anything you order- will be a slice of seafood heaven. Just please, don't feed the seagulls.

I love going to Rudy's especially on a nice day, the food is always good and on a nice day you have a great view of the lake.

Great place to go in summer. Love to sit and watch the view of the lake. The food is great. Lots of staff. Your food comes out pretty quick. You sit out at picnic tables with beeper to get food when ready. It's very organized.

It's been quite a few years since I have had the opportunity to visit Rudy’s, and today's experience did not disappoint! The fish center with cheese sandwich was outstanding, just as I remembered. The accompanying salt potatoes snapped perfectly as I bit into each one. Thank you, Rudy’s, for making my memories a pleasant one!

The food is great I love the service they give they are so nice and I love how close tot he water it is

We ordered 2 fried haddock sandwiches. They were perfectly cooked but both had gray skin that was chewy and didn't taste good. Haddock is best with all skin removed so we won't return.

Gluten free menu attached. Great baked gluten free option with fries; the only thing is that it is not seasoned much if you’re used to that. Make sure to ask for seasoning. Great view too!

I’ve been coming here since i was a kid, always a cute little spot to eat at or just hangout, dogs are also aloud, i take my puppy here all the time to play in the water

A must when in Oswego and in the mood for fast food fries fish and other seafood items. Personally I wish it was a large piece of fish rather than the chunks or whatever they call it. Regardless, it's good. The place is iconic, tons of outdoor seating on Lake O. And staff is always friendly.

Rudy's is a nice place to go on a sunny day or if you want something quick for takeout. You order food inside and can then take it to-go or eat at a picnic table along the water. The views are amazing on the water. The food and prices are okay.

Fish shack on the lake. Great fried fish. I had Blue Plate haddock and scallops, delicious. Serve beer, with plenty of seating right on Lake Ontario
