Probably my second or third review of this shop. Other bike shops can be pretentious but I've only ever received honest and humble service from all employees at RV&E.

Fast and efficient service. I got a flat with no spare of patch kid with me. They gave me a new tube and fixed it while I waited.

Great service for a fair price

We had decent experiences here before, but the other day happened to go to one other bike shop (I won't mention the name), and then this one, and wow, this one is definitely much better. It was quite crowded on the weekend, but there's a reason: they're good. We did need to wait, but they eventually got to us, as fast as they could I thought, and were very nice and fair in price. Other bike shops feel snobby to me (including the other one we visited that day), but this one doesn't. They do good work and are pleasant to everyone, whether you're training for the Tour de France or pedaling down the canal path with your three-year-old just for fun. It can be a little overwhelming with the big bunch of people there during peak times, but I felt like they were reasonably staffed and doing their best to accommodate everyone as best they could. I'll go here first every time now, even though it's a little bit farther for us. They also have a good selection of used bikes. Great shop.

Great selection of bikes they even have a small selection of second hand bikes. The staff is very knowledgeable, nice, and ready to help with anything.

Outstanding bike shop. My wife and I rented bikes for a trip along the Erie canal trail — the bikes were new and very comfortable and well suited, the staff were friendly and courteous, and the pricing very reasonable.

I want especially single out Doug for high praise — he was exceptionally helpful and accommodating. When we experienced a mechanical problem along the way (no fault of the shop — it was a brand new bike with a factory defect), Doug arranged a perfect solution that had us underway again within an hour.

If I lived in the area RV&E would get all of my bicycling business and I would recommend them to anyone, at any level of cycling.

RV&E in Fairport is an awesome full service bike shop. They stock great products and have a knowledgeable sales staff that can really advise you on what products will serve your needs. They also have a terrific repair and installation shop that can customize your bike to have the features you want.

RV&E provides conscientious and low pressure sales, and fantastic after-purchase support. Very prompt service. Highly recommend them as your hometown bike shop!

RV&E has been my local bike store here in Fairport for years. We've been there year after year from tricycles for our kids through all the different sizes, and each time Doug and his staff have worked hard to figure out how the bike would be ridden (on the canal path, a mountain bike trail, or something else) and suggested bikes to match the need. I've loved the personal service and willingness to help you out even if you come in 20 minutes before closing time.

Great local bike shop! I bought a bike from them two years ago, and they've provided solid service and support. I also stop by from time to time for parts and accessories. Most of the time I walk out with what I need, but they've also ordered things for me as well.
