Safelite AutoGlass, Poughkeepsie NY

I had my windshield replaced here last month. When I started driving it afterward, I noticed that I could hear noise from the outside more loudly than it had been before. It didn't seem like it had been sealed properly. My suspicions were later confirmed when got into my van while it was raining and water was dripping in. How can these guys fail at something so badly when it's literally the only thing they do? They'd sent me an e-mail with a link to leave a review, but it didn't work (because of course it didn't) so I'm leaving it here. I genuinely like Safelite. But from now on I'm avoiding this location.

They did a great job! It was supposed to rain the day they came to replace my windshield and I was worried.the tech came before the rain and was able to do it! Windshield looks great, and they put all my stickers back where they were! Convenient, professional & fast! With a lifetime warranty.

I discovered Friday morning that I had enough large cracks in my windshield to need it replaced. I was able to easily make an appointment for the next day with Safelite through my insurance company’s app. The service itself took a few hours; this also seemed to be a busy day for them after the storm.

I was surprised at how quick and easy the whole process was, and the staff members were friendly and professional. This was a great experience that made me feel better about a concerning event.

After receiving a bb like stone chip in my windshield, the type they just fill, I scheduled a repair through my insurance agent.

I was most impressed with how prompt Safelite was sending me an email with the time, date and a photo of the tech coming to my home. Sadly the system broke down when nobody showed up between 8 and noon as promised. Nor did I receive a call notifying me of the delay. Somehow the greatness went away at that point.

The job was completed later that afternoon. But it doesn't appear you can depend on these folks keeping an appointment.

Staff was very Professional, Courteous & attentive. Just straight window replacement so no calibration of sensors so visit was fast. Staff was very Knowledgeable and forthcoming with the safelight lifetime guarantee, so if you need glass work Definitely stop by this location and you will not be disappointed.

Been trying to resolve a warranty issue since March. First the part order got canceled then they finally got the part in and they won't call back for me to get an appointment. Their horrible system keeps hanging up on me. Now they say I have to come to them to get part put on. Nightmare!

This is the secondtime I had Safelite replace my windshield on my BMW.
BOTH TIMES THE TIMER ON THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS WERE NOT WORKING.
I have tried to speak to a human being there to get it fixed. I have called 5 times. Looks like I will have to physcially go to Pok to ry to get it fixed. I live 45 minutes away. I am aggravated and angry.
I WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN. BUYER BEWARE.

Was disappointed with the moving of stickers. I bought my wife's minivan to have the windshield replaced. The actual replacement of the glass went fine but the moving of the registration and inspection stickers was terrible. The registration sticker was plastered on with tape or laminate and not very well. The inspection sticker has VOID plastered across it twice. So I have to pay 3 dollars to replace the registration and 2 dollars to replace the inspection. The money isn't the issue, but rather the hassle. Not to mention the hoops I have to jump through for DMV to prove that the windshield was replaced. In the meantime, my wife has to explain to any police officer who sees a voided inspection sticker what is/has transpired. The installation of the windshield itself is fine. It's the aftermath that's frustrating. Also, I've had a couple of windshields replaced by same installer on my vehicles throughout the years, with never this problem.

My first two experiences with safelite were great.my most recent not so much. The new windshield they installed has a chip in it and they destroyed my inspection sticker causing me to get a ticket. When I called to ask for them pay for the ticket I was told I would get a call from the local shop. Still waiting. So I'm out 80 bucks and will most likely need another windshield replacement.

11/22/22 Super clean, top notch, windshield install. I expect this from Safelite AutoGlass.

Added plus, was that both the Manager Caesar and tech, Anthony were very communicative, personable and professional.and they treated my vehicle with great care.as I would treat it myself. You could tell they BOTH, truly gave a damn and were not let's say.just going through the motions. It's was a pleasure to do business with them. These two guy's are both real assets to Safelite AutoGlass!
