Had a truly very special time here. The team was very accommodating of a 7 person walk in, our server completely took care of us and made excellent food recommendations, sharing interesting historic details of different dishes. Everything tasted delicious too.
Really really wonderful food. Highly recommend coming. Try the iskender lamb, and the chicken Adana, it was delicious!

Sahara is an absolutely charming little restaurant in Kips Bay. It seats about 60 people comfortably and has a great layout that allows guests to move around easily.
The food is delicious my favorite is Iskender kebab! It’s thin lamb in a homemade yogurt sauce.
Everything tastes fresh and the portions are filling! The food and atmosphere make Sahara’s Turkish Cuisine a must visit restaurant!

Sahara's was so great for a catering order we did! We had over 40 guests, and they were extremely accommodating in terms of quantity, sauces, service and quality of food. We will definitely recommend to others, and will be back to dine in as well.

They have cig kofte and maras dondurma. As someone who’s spent time in Turkey, I promise you give this place a try. But come prepared to enjoy actual Turkish food not “Mediterranean”.
Beautiful restaurant with a chic interior. Good menu food was great best falafel I’ve had in awhile. Our waiter Mustafa was extremely friendly and nice!
Amazing Turkish restaurant. The atmosphere was very nice, and the service was excellent. Mustafa was very attentive and detail-oriented. My partner and I ordered the zucchini pancake appetizer and the mixed grill kebab entree. Both were very, very tasty. I will come again soon!
