Indian Restaurant Sahib reviews
16 I have been to Sahib at least three or four times and every single time is an amazing experience! The service here is amazing, the environment is great for conversation, and intimate enough for a personal date. The food is excellent and the drinks are delicious and strong.
Honestly always a pleasure! It has become one of my favorite places in Manhattan.
The dinner I had there tonight was excellent and our server, Praveen, was incredible as well.
I brought my family and I will be bringing more friends here too!
Creative Indian dishes, biryani rice in clay pot is very tasty, lots more one, if you try one place is little india should be this one
We ordered Chicken Chettinad and Biryani and both were very delicious. The naan was so light and fluffy.
We ordered the rice and peas for our daughter and I mixed in a little of the spicy Chicken Chettinad into her bowl.
Dining with food options that are mostly spicy is a challenge with young children. No matter how mild the waiter claims the dish is, most Indian dishes are always too complexly flavored for a young child. Mixing the spicy dish with plain rice and peas seemed to encourage my daughter to eat a few bites.
We ordered a mung daal soup that she actually enjoyed and finished. The grownups on our table enjoyed the rest of the dishes. Heavy and satisfying meals.
Ambiance and service was really good too.
Amazing taste, nice portion size and one of the best Indian foods I’ve had so far in US. Must visit.
Praveen take care for my family very well very nice and sweet person very good food price is also very reasonable I love it really thanks keep coming all the time
Came here during the day after a movie and wow the food is soooo good. I had to try the chicken biriyani dish because that’s what they’re known for and it’s amazing. My boyfriend ordered the bitter chicken and also so so good. Service is great and attentive. Will definitely be coming back!
Incredible food and service! The lunch combo was delicious and we had great portions. This is a definite must-try!
Popped into this restaurant due to not being able to get in to other similar places nearby.
Was pleasantly surprised, we had their lunch special and was expecting to see small portions, but to our surprise the portions were quite reasonable.
The flavors was also very good, we had chick tikka masala and chicken curry, both very good.
We will be going back to try it again perhaps trying the fish curry.
Great service, amazing food and a place for Indians to be satisfied with the food. Thank you!
TRANSCENDENT.
Lived in the city for over a decade, and this is the most underrated Indian I think I’ve had. Cannot recommend them enough.
Mango lassi was way too sweet was the only drawback, but I don’t even care. I’d travel to come back to this place for the food.
Excellent place to dine in! The server was very humble and polite. I came with my friends on Saturday night for dinner, the food was delicious. I would highly recommend this place, it was worth the money!
Need to try more food from here. Chicken Makhani was delicious. Biriyani was good. Naan was great. Spice level was a little above what I was expecting. They even gave us free rice even though they didn't have to.
I went for lunch with my friends today. They have included a variety of dishes in the lunch menu. I ordered Punjabi Goat curry, it came with rice & DAL as well as bread, they’ve also included the appetizer and also a dessert within the combo. The food was very good, cost friendly and was very well sufficient for one person. I’m much excited to take my friends over here for the lunch special.
Some friends and I went the day before yesterday. We were sightseeing in New York, we decided to try Indian food and we chose this restaurant and we went without a reservation, they treated us very well, the service was very friendly and we all loved the excellent food.
We were a group of 10 people searching for good North Indian food, then we found "Sahib".
It was almost full as it was Friday night, but luckily we got table for all 10 people. We ordered a couple of appetizers, palak chat, murgh anghare, and chicken 65. We've have also ordered cocktails, my friends ordered some main course dishes and the food tasted very good. I personally liked Chicken Biryani the most, it was a traditional pot style biryani, it was so aromatic and full of flavours. The service was also very good. We'll visit this restaurant in the future for sure.
