sale of firewood, Brewster NY

WARNING! My Firewood guy of 25 years passed away. I’m now trying to find an honest firewood provider with good quality at a reasonable price. The issues with these people are: 1) they will short you substantially on your order. I ordered a “FULL CORD” …. They gave me 2 face cords instead of the full cord. I was shorted almost an entire face cord! That is a huge amount of wood to lose out on! It was obvious as soon as they dumped it and confirmed when I stacked it. 2) before delivery, the guy I spoke to said it would be ash and oak…my load had a lot of black birch. Black birch is ok wood but nothing like oak or ash which my load had very little of. Another issue, 3) Fire hazard, this wood is freshly split. It looks to be partially seasoned in log form and then split days before delivery. It won’t burn as hot and clean causing a lot of dangerous creosote buildup. Another issue, 4) I texted these people a pic of what they shorted me along with noting I would order more and what they will do about my first short cord delivered. I spoke to them a few times and they keep saying they’ll get back to me with a solution…. But never did. I’ve experienced this many years ago with other crooked providers…. I’ll have to pass on these guys. These guys are charging the average cost for a Cord and you’re getting A LOT LESS in multiple ways. Sharing the pic with you. The empty space should be filled between the racks…. I was ripped off close to $70 I’m moving on…so should you. I know these guys are a tree cutting service too. I would be very carful using them for this also.

Good hardwoods and nicely cut! Not too big not too small! I paid extra to have it stacked in my wood shed and glad I did! Nice need job! Thank you!
