Coffee Shop Salento reviews
18This is a place that takes you away from the gritty city for a bit. It reminds me of the places I would buy when I was a kid. Very family oriented and friendly. The food is very tasty and addictive. You will be pleased.
Bought 20 beef empanadas from this place nothing but potatoes were the beef is all i can say same with the chicken all potatoes. Horrible
I work at the hospital up the block, Had not eaten anything all day long, I got out of work and just wanted to sit have a chicken soup and probably some coffee. I told the counter girl I would sit at the table and look at menu. How I sat there for almost 30 mins and she didnt bother to go to my table to ask what I wanted to order? Didnt even look towards me, she didnt acknowledge when I was putting my coat on to leave. OWNERS, DONT BELIEVE ME? GO BACK TO CAMERAS, BLUE SWEATER GIRL! Very dissapointing!
Three baristas talked amongst themselves for five minutes while I waited to order (no line) Ended up leaving because of the disrespectful staff.
Salento is 100% pure Columbian heaven! But you know what's on my mind right now it aint the coffee, its the delicious pandebono in the dessert window! The inside is filled with guava, it was very yummy!
This restaurant is worth a trip; the staff and chef are so friendly. The cakes, omelets, and sausage are fresh and tasty. There are waterfall-like plants and all kinds of tropical plants in every corner, creating a garden-like atmosphere. I will definitely visit again!
Can’t even be bothered to prepare an order of already made pastries and put them into a bag after 40 minutes. Of course, Uber charged me the full order after I waited for nothing to be prepared.
Genuine Columbian pastries, including gluten free options. Genuinely friendly vibe and cozy.
This place was very cute and was exactly what I was looking for. I lived in Miami and wanted the delicious pastries and pan de bonos that are prevalent there. This place delivered. Would recommend.
Came here everyday for my 10 day stay up in NYC. They have some fantastic coffee, great customer service, great food and of course guanabana! This place reminded me of my time in Colombia so much!
I love coming here. Colombian breakfast and brunch. Coffee is good. The inside is so pretty and they have plenty of outdoor seating.
Cozy place with Colombian cuisine. I had chance to try their breakfast which was an omelette (don’t remember the name). Healthy, delicious for reasonable price. I could not leave without trying their pastries therefore I chose large Bunuelo and pandebono. Although I have a sweet tooth and very picky when it comes to desserts, somehow they surprised me. Desserts were fantastic.
Ask for beef patty, and they gave me a potatoes patty, supposedly had beef in it, never saw the beef, Colombian coffee shop and the coffee was terrible, will never eat or drink there ever again, that's lying to people.
I had morcilla (blood) sausage and chicharon both very fresh, wife had bacon egg and cheese all was good and the coffee was great. Place is small but cute if you go early you can sit and enjoy
One of the only Colombian restaurants in Manhattan, it is beautiful, the food is delicious and the service in general 10 out of 10 Lorena was super kind to us! Super recommended.
If you're looking for a coffee shop this is not the place, no wifi so that's disappointing bc they have so much outdoor empty space
just chill for a quick bite with their pastries. I haven't ordered entrees
I ate exquisite! I ordered a tray paisa and it was truly my best choice. Everything was super delicious, the service is good and they serve you the food super fast.
Seriously, one of the best places one can eat in Washington Heights.
Moved a couple of blocks away a week ago and we've already been here twice. DELICIOUS coffee, and the bakery items are amazing too. Looking forward to trying some of the breakfast items.
The people are so nice, everything is very mellow and quiet.
