Salmon River Falls Parking Area, Richland NY

Good parking area, nice trail, & good views. We need to go back after May 1st, when the steep gorge trail, with stairs, is open. Also need to go back to finish the trail, all the way to the upper falls, since we turned around, the trail was a little wet & muddy in spots.

The falls were beautiful when we were here in October. Trains were clean, but not handy cap friendly for those that need it to get down to the falls. That didn’t effect us as we were able to walk down and even see the carvings back to the late 1800’s in the fall head.

Can hold several cars, some trucks, a delivery van, and vagrant sleeping in a station wagon.

Beautiful. We visited during the spring of the year when the waterfall was at peak flow. The first part of the trail is ADA compliant and very walkable. I would like to visit again and spend more time on the second part of the trail. The second portion of the trail was very muddy.

The parking area was kinda small. Maybe can park 15-20 cars. But on the plus side you can park on the side of the road, next to the parking lot

Beautiful. Some trash on the trail, no garbage cans. Some people need to take their trash with them.

Parking area would be improved with better safety railings as the edge to parking has no barrier.

I love the place its fun good looks and you can go to the bottom when it is open for a little hike like thing!
