My wife Shahban comes here often and she always leaves feeling confident and loving her hair. All of this is due to Nicole and her care to attention and hard work. She goes above and beyond in providing my wife the services she requires and she makes her feel welcome. She has always been kind and compassionate and this is what makes a place like this so special. The services are amazing but the staff are even better. Highly recommend!

I've been visiting Salon Tai II for nearly a year now, primarily for hair coloring and haircuts, and it's high time I express my heartfelt appreciation for their outstanding service. Every session at this salon, led by the incredibly talented owner Nicole, has been nothing short of exceptional. Nicole provides really professional advice based on your requirements, not just doing whatever you want, which I find immensely valuable. In terms of price, I find it very reasonable, especially given the high quality of service and results I receive each time. Nicole is the best! Very detailed and excellent bed side manner; she makes you feel incredibly welcome even from your first visit. She cuts both men and women's hair. She's a Rockstar! Highly recommend!

WORST hair salon experience EVER and I’m not even the type to overreact. The only good part was the hair wash. Nicole started cutting my hair before I could even tell her what I wanted. I asked her 3 times if I can show her pictures until she finally listened. Then she was quick to say "no that won't look good on your long hair" it was literally just layers. I then also asked for curtain bangs and I felt so judged. She made a weird face like she thought it won't look good and rolled her eyes while saying "ok". I told her I usually get them. She did not take any time on the haircut and in Korean was saying "pali pali" which means she's trying to do it quickly. I didn't pay $70 for u to want to just push me to the side. She did not section my hair and just started cutting. Barely put any layers in my hair. When she was starting to style my hair she did not ask me how I want it styled. I had to tell her I don’t want it curled and just a blow out. She does what she wants without caring about the customer. 2 people were blowing out my hair and my head was literally being pushed back and they both blew out my hair in a different style. I don't even feel like I got a haircut she cut off literally nothing. My friend was even shocked. I'm not the type to over react and I'm really flexible but my service was rushed, and I felt judged. I can't believe I even left a tip. I usually check a lot of reviews and try to go to the best, but I wanted to try her out since my sister recommend. I don’t know if it was cause it was almost closing time or what but I’m shocked theirs any good reviews. If I’m paying big bucks and you’re charging me extra for my long hair at least take some time on it or don’t make a appointment. DON'T COME HERE IF YOU WANT QUALITY SERVICE

Do not make an appointment if you are going to rush it. Do not charge extra for long hair if you won’t provide good service. I will not be surprised if they report this review as well to be removed. Face your negative reviews and try to satisfy your customers not just hide them. I noticed this because I had an assignment in school about if we ever written a negative review. And was shocked it was removed. LOL

I appreciate the apology and I hope the service is better now for future customers. My first edit was a really basic details of my experience without noting a lot of extra things that left me dissatisfied and disrespected because of employees wanting to go home and also being judged.

Very experienced stylist and hair salon is spotless and well managed. Nicole makes very good recommendations on what color and haircut looks good.

I have 2 job interviews this week and I needed to tidy up to make the good initial impression.
I needed a trim, some layering, and a clean up. I saw the good reviews about this salon and decided to give it a try. Nicole did a fabulous job. I felt pampered, the entire experience plus the finishing result made me happy and confident. I recommend this salon

Highly recommend hairstylist Nicole! I was ecstatic to find this hair salon after my other go to salon closed down. I have gotten a keratin, balayage, and haircut with Nicole. She uses the best quality products that do not damage your hair. The salon is welcoming and I always feel relaxed when I leave

Nicole's amazing! This is my first visit @ Salon Tai and I will absolutely come back. I got the magic sleek. It was a 4 hour process that went by fast bc Nicole made sure I was comfortable and even got me lunch (thanks for the yummy, hot pizza!). She gave me great hair tips and was super friendly and easy to talk to. I can literally hang out there all day. Lol. I was sad that my go-to place for 10+ years in Bayside closed but super thankful that I found Salon Tai

I've been here a few times, and every single time was an exceptional experience. The owner Nicole is very knowledgeable and is an expert in hair coloring. She constantly researches for the most effective and new methods.
- appointment can be made easily via phone
- hardly any wait if appointment prev made
- she does a thorough consultation
- she does not upsell. I had originally wanted balayage but she suggested other service based on my hair type and length.
- she can work with any hair type.my hair is not susceptible of absorbing hair color. I usually have to have dye on for extra time but she found the perfectly matching dye to eliminate that.
- price is very reasonable.
- place is clean and plenty of parking.

Nicole was very patient and attentive to all my concerns. Not only is she such a delight to work with, she’s very passionate and knowledgeable in her profession. It’s an art to her and she really took the time to work on my hair. She did everything from start to finish and made sure I was comfortable throughout my entire session. I wanted a layered cut with subtle highlights that wasn’t too flashy and she nailed it! I’m very happy with the results and have recommend her to all my family and friends. She’s the best on the island and certainly worth a visit.
