Saltaire Oyster Bar and Fish House reviews
16 Quite pricey for what is good, but not great food. The staff was hard working and reasonably attentive. When I went last Sunday there was great live music that made for a fantastic experience.
Returned and found the lobster roll lacking. Had to keep asking for more water since no refills were being offered.
This is a vibe of stylishly classy yet relaxed. Perfect for date night, a meal after work with friends or a drink after at their amazing raw bar. I had the best time after a long work week! It was the perfect way to start my weekend. The servers are phenomenal and attentive without being overbearing.and everyone had a warm smile. Kudos to the hiring manager. I can't say enough about this vibe.it has to be experienced!
Exceptionally fresh seafood, kind and attentive service. Extensive menu but nothing felt like an afterthought.
I want to see your friend play on Sunday. He had the oysters that were on special for the event. They were amazing. One of the oysters was bad. Luckily my friend did not adjust it. It's a content to more oysters. I had a chicken taco it was tasty. There was only one on the plate portion. Could have been a little bigger. There was a corn dish that was underwhelming. Had not much flavor. Think it was their attempt at Mexican street corn. The muscles were delicious but also not very generous. Our server and the staff. They were very friendly. I don't know if someone didn't show up or they're just not snapping event. I heard it was busy or than it had been in the past. Understandably it took a while to get our oysters because everybody's ordering them but it then took a while to order our food or to get any attention. But I definitely go back. It was a fun way to spend a Sunday.
Over priced, over cooked lobster. I appreciate the difficulties of a packed house. But maybe consider slowing down the seating.
I wanted to Surprise one of my Best Friends for her Birthday! I searched all of CT for live music and great seafood.
Saltaire Oyster Bar in Port Chester, NY came up in the search and the drive was within an hour.
The menu looked very impressive and the Live music was the icing on the cake!
From the Starters to the Entrées to Drinks and Desserts, we were in heaven!
Michael served us and he is so knowledgeable with a refreshing sense of humor! He advised us on menu options with an effortless passion that I admired. It was like a juicy secret he couldn’t wait to share!
Live Acoustic by The Amazing Mr. Jones was just Sublime! I could listen to him all day long. Love his acoustic style, Soothing yet forceful vocals and his arrangements were perfectly paired with the delicious Menu! Not to mention he was delighted to fulfill my request to sing Happy Birthday to my Bestie!
She was Thrilled from beginning to end!
We had The Octopus (took me back to Barcelona!) Breaded Oysters (So well seasoned with parsley, breadcrumbs and fresh lemon juice), Shrimp Dumplings (tasted great! Would have loved a hint of ginger). The Sea Bass was increible! The Halibut was Grandissimo!
Who knew you could make vegetables, especially Squash, taste like they were a sinful delight!
The Saltaire “KoolAid” was beyond our expectations. Truly Kool, Aiding and Abetting!
For Dessert and Live Birthday rendition by Mr. Magic himself with all lovely patrons chiming in, we had the Bread Pudding (we requested a drizzle of Dark Rum). Took us to Foodie Heaven!
Kudos to the Entire Staff, especially the Chef, everyone was all Super Courteous and Professional!
***** Stars! I think it’s fair to say that we’ll be back! (in Arnold’s voice).
My husband and I have passed this place many times and finally after seeing them being awarded best happy hour in best in Westchester we stopped in. It totally reminded us. Wine and Brine was awesome but overall food staff and atmosphere is outstanding. We are definitely coming back
This is by far the best oyster house in Westchester - Freshest I have ever eaten around town. Keep doing what you are doing! The Happy Hour is also one of the best from 4: 00-6: 00pm!
Friendly staff, nice environment, but if you’re looking for good food you’d be disappointed. All the seafood we ordered were way over cooked. The sides tasted like they were prepared days ago.
Food lacks seasoning. My husband got the ribeye and I got the halibut and both dishes were blan.drinks were pretty good. We got about 4 cocktails that were delicious. For desert we got bread pudding very tasty. Very small portions and overpriced.
So disappointed with our experience last night. We arrived at 630 with tickets to see a show at the Capitol Theater at 8. Dinner took 2.5 hours! Needless to say we were late for the show. The tower of seafood we ordered did not have any shrimp and when we asked the waiter (who was absolutely wonderful) he advised us they ran out of shrimp! After we pointed this out he brought us extra lobster but had we not noticed it would not have been addressed. It was so noisy we could barely speak with the person next to us. The manager and hostess were not at all accommodating. Sadly I will not be returning
Celebrated my Anniversary and had an amazing experience.
The food was absolutely delicious! Staff was amazing! I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone I know. Best seafood restaurant in town:)
Went there last night after looking at the menu online. Come to find out some of the items I wanted were not on the menu because they would be busy that night from the concert. Which should be stated on the menu online. Oysters were great tuna was delicious but not what I went for. Thought the server was great until we started eating then felt rushed out of this mostly empty place. My friend was still eating when they came over to clear the table. After we said no dessert while she was still eating he dropped the check off was going to get another cocktail but he had other plans.
The food overall is very bland. The golden risotto in the halibut lacked flavor, I ended up adding salt and pepper. My wife's seabass was a bit tastier, but solely because it was a whole fried fish. My daughter's burgers didn't have any seasoning.
Great! Really Great food! The oysters were so Fresh! We had the seafood dumping's that were really tasty, oysters and the softshell crab dish, with great drinks! It was our first time, we came on Sunday, July 3,2022. We sat at a table in the bar. `Santos our waiter was beyond excellent with food suggestions and the service he provided. They also had a special two-hour Happy hour food and drink menu on a Sunday who knew ”Live music was wonderful"! Thank you, Saltaire Restaurant! This is our new go-to spot!
