Salvatore's Old Fashioned Pizzeria, Rochester NY

This is my go to spot for pizza in Rochester. They do such a great job with their Mama Tony's pizza which is basically a garbage plate pizza. I have been to other locations but the fries at this location are so much more crispy and just perfect. Great work guys!

We ordered 2 subs from this location. One was a steak sub and the other was a chicken finger sub. Both had very little meat on them. In fact, the chicken finger sub looked like they cut up one chicken finger for a large sub. Really!? When I called to ask if cutting up the chicken fingers was their normal procedure, the girl said yes. She tried to tell me that they used 4 chicken fingers which is not even possible! Save your money and order somewhere else! We wish we had! We have ordered from Salvatore’s in Scottsville and they are great!

Order the Wednesday special, giant calzone. It was giant. Pound and a half of dough, 4 slices of pepperoni and 3 hunks of sausage. Terrible, would never order again. Also friends ordered a Italian sub to pick up on the way home a few days ago and when they got home and opened it, there was ZERO meat on the sub. Stay away from this place.

Ordered a large chicken tender and steak subs from here an requested extra extra meat sauce on the steak sub. Paid extra for a small side of it. Subs were burnt. The halves were from leftover cuts with parts of the bread missing. Owner insisted they don't put meat sauce on it because it looks bad. 2 dollars extra for the meat sauce. Rather than argue with the owner I wont be ordering from them again. Customer doesn't always have to be right but at least make it the way they hoped to get it.

I’d rather pick through the garbage next door at Mark’s than ever eat here again. If you want the absolute worst calamari in the entire United States - GO HERE! The chicken fingers are like jerkey, coated in burned fish-fry crumbs. The mozzarella-sticks were cold and tasted like rancid oil. I was so hungry - but I gave up after a few bites of each of these. Tthe Pizza (square cut, and not even cut through) had a burned crust, shriveled peppers, it was generally overcooked - and something happened that I have NEVER seen before. My son threw it out after eating a few slices. He’s 21 and will basically eat anything. I am writing this at 2 am after nursing a queasy belly all evening. What a massive dump!
The bottled water was excellent.

Ordered a buff chicken salad the last few times and they hardly even fill up the box. I asked for no tomatoes and there were tomatoes. I also asked for blue cheese, paid for it and got none. It’s just frustrating when you have something written in front of you and mess it up. And this has happened the last several times I’ve ordered. Don’t think what you get is worth the money. On a positive note, my food was ready when I got there to pick it up.

They are not using the same recipe.
The pizza is burnt.
The owner/manager is rude.
Also doesn't correct mistakes.

The pizza looked delicious and the customer service was great but me and my friend have been throwing up since we are it.

If I could give no stars I would. Pizza gave my husband and my 16 month old daughter food poisoning. I Will never order from here again.

Ordered two pizzas online, but they could not read the notes, so they chose not to make anything! Great service. Never going there again.

Terrible service, the girls taking the order dont listen to anything you are asking for. I asked several times for certain wings, they still made them wrong. When we asled to fix them, the girl at the front had an attitude. I asked to speak to a manager, when Montana the manager got on the phone she was not helpful at all. I was told "if you are going to come at me, I am going to come at you" wow what customer service. Will NEVER ORDER FROM THEM. AGAIN. Disgusting attitude and service.

Called at 5 to place and order I was told 20-25 minutes and it’s 5: 50pm and I’m still waiting for my large pizza. I’ve seen lots of people come and go they obviously forgot. If there was more honesty I would be more understanding. Not to mention when I expressed to the employee that a 30 min difference is kind of ridiculous she got upset with me and was rude. Will never come back, I’m sick of miserable people.

$30.00 for an overcooked pizza, won't be back! Sorry but way overpriced and never any coupons.

Didn't state any where they square cut every pizza. Called to ask about why they square cut my 3 large circular pizzas and the woman said that's how we do it and hung up on me never eating there again

Hard to find cauliflower crust pizza, glad to see Salvatores had what the wife and I were looking for. Pizza was incredible and cooked perfectly, along with classic Buffalo wings! We will definitely be back!

Ordered 30 minutes ahead, arrived, and heard they had forgotten to make our pizza. Had to wait an additional 15 minutes in store for the food. The price was outrageous, 20 dollars for a standard 12" medium pizza with pepperoni. Had to cut the pizza at home because of poor job by the staff and tasted a step above a frozen pizza for 4x the cost.

I've always loved Salvatores but this location especially cooks everything perfectly.

The associate there was VERY friendly and nice. The inside was clean and spacious and very illuminated! The food was good with the exception of the French fries. They were overcooked and soggy but overall très bien.

Orderd something off the menu didnt receive everything the meal came with and when i asked for the missing items it was as if i did something wrong i felt i paid for it so it was only right but i didn't feel right eating the food i wasnt given tho
