8This facility saved my life in 2004 I was lost and strung out.it gave me hope and purpose. I will always remember Tommy Palega and Jackie Samuel's they were hard on me but they were loving too. This place laid the foundation or me. I'm a productive citizen and a responsible mother. I would say to anyone looking for a fresh Start go their.it won't be easy but it will be well worth it.
So my daughter's been there for 6 months. They are letting her out after running away 2 X about a month ago. She's leaving the same way she entered with a bag of cloths, no photo ID, I had to pay and get her birth certificate they didn't have enough staff to even help with that. Mind you they get paid by the state welfare and health insurance. Also Her original plan was supposed to be sober living after completion of there treatment. But like I said she ran 2x about a month ago relapsed and now has an out date to leave to GOD KNOWS WHERE. BUT not to sober living where she should be going, also let's mention its fall basically winter time. This place should be shut down. Or they need to get a new house manager who actually answers the phone and returns concerned parents calls. One who leaves 10 minutes after shift ends not 10 minutes before. Her shift ends. Sum of the staff are great but there isn't enough of them. I VOTE TO SHUT THE VETERANS PROGRAM FOR WOMEN DOWN. And my lawyer totally Agreed.
This is a sad place to end up in life if you ever have the misfortune of going down “that road”. It is a very sad situation. A place where broken lives sell their time…. Only to eventually die from their own vices, demons and sins.
This rehab saved my life. Sure, it had its issues, but without it, I wouldn't be sober today and living a life I never thought possible. I'm truly grateful for the amazing people that I met here and my experience here will stay with me for the rest of my life.
Waste of time if u need help. Anywhere else is better. This is for people who have serious behavior problems not addictions
Absolute worst and most crooked rehab I have ever been to. They constantly ran out of my medications as well as other clients, medications that I literally have to be on or otherwise I'd risk facing severe consequences to my health and even death,
and Krissy, who is the assistant director (her office is across from the medication room), is one of the most corrupt, disrespectful, dishonest, and unprofessional woman I have ever met (Julio Escalera, the other assistant director is a horrible, condescending, immature, lazy, and dishonest person as well, and will purposely target & provoke clients to get a reaction out of them, just like Krissy), mocked me when I was literally experiencing life-threatening physical & psychological withdrawals that was directly their fault because they neglected to refill my prescriptions again and made me have to go without my meds. Krissy would also threaten me and refuse to dispense my medications depending on her mood at the time and I would have to wait for a nurse from another facility to come and give my meds which by that time is way passed my regular med time. All we did was clients is sit around all day, smoking cigarettes, on our phones, watching TV or sitting in their rooms all day, and maybe attend a few 1 hour/ 1 and 1/2 hour groups a week that 4 out of 5 staff would be consistently at least 15 to 20 minutes late for and end on time. Mind you they are billing your insurance for these sessions that literally never happened, and essentially fraudulently draining your insurance of their money while the clients sit around all day in what's basically a corrupt homeless shelter.
Amazing staff, amazing area, and the best rehab i can honestly say I've been to. Totally recommend if anyone is (seriously) interested in getting their lives together.
