I usually see NP Raj. Saw her last week for serious pain in my tailbone and my left thigh. She told me to rest. I told her that’s not gonna solve this issue. She finally ordered an X-ray when I pressed for more help. She said it may be a pinched nerve. She prescribed steroids for 5 days and they helped but then the pain came back full force.
I went for follow up today. Dr. Akuoku had me waiting for an hour and a half only to tell me that we all have aches and pain. He told me he can give me ibuprofen for pain. I said no I’d rather know what’s wrong and get help with the problem not just take ibuprofen everyday for the the rest of my life. He told me to keep quiet and was rude and dismissive. Not helpful at all. What did I come to the doctor for? Obviously it’s that bad and been happening for a while (like I told him). I came here for help. And got none. Didn’t listen, didn’t help. Very rude. He told me to see my rheumatologist, I asked if that’s the doctor that handles sciatica he said no the orthopedist. And finally gave a referral for Ortho. I will not be back to see Dr. Akuoku. And I’ve been a patient there for 5 years.
