Samuel's Sweet Shop reviews
16I could not wait to try Samuel's Sweet Shop. I ordered a sampler that included chocolate covered Oreos with peanut butter, butter-crunch (my favorite), and chocolate covered peanuts—one word for all— delicious! The butter-crunch may be the best I've ever tasted. The Oreos didn't stand a chance and were gone lickety-split, and the chocolate covered peanuts are so good. Everything was packaged beautifully. I will definitely order again, and again, especially for a gift knowing everything will be scrumptious!
Paul! Invest in a coffee shop expansion to this! It would be a huge plus! It's a perfect place to visit on Christmas!
What a cute little shop:) it's a Hallmark candy shop in real life kind of place, the whole street is magical and I love their shortbread cookies.
Had some of their sweets at Rhinebeck Sheep and Wool Festival in October. Was in the are and had to stop in. Their sweets are delicious. I am partial to the dark chocolate choices and thoroughly enjoyed each one. Thank you.
Wonderful hand crafted chocolates as well old fashion candy. I got Teaberry gum there. I also love the big dark chocolate peppermint patties!
So small and cramped. They make NOTHING. Everything is purchased from other producers. They make coffees, have a very limited nostalgia section of candies, and charged $6 for one cookie.
We traveled from Sussex county NJ to visit and loved it here! Of course we went because of the owners but we got some amazing chocolates! The place was clean and very nice for a smaller space!
Unfortunately it was so crowded and the employees were not very kind. They seem very annoyed that it was so crowded. I spent a large amount of money on candy and shirts but wish it was a better experience with the workers.
A very nice little store with excellent Coffee and a super variety of candy.
Simply perfect!
The most charming, sweet, homey, sweet shop. If you are ever in Rhinebeck, don't miss Samuel's! (More on Samuel's can be found in Hilarie Burton Morgan's book "The Rural Diaries. " Good as a read, but even better as an audiobook!)
Overrated hole in the wall. Over priced candy, most available online for much less money. Nice little town though.
You can find legacy candies not offered anymore in big box stores. Chocolate by weight and lots of sugary sweets. Didn't realize this shop is owned by Paul Rudd and Jeff Morgan.
Very few items actually has a price on it. We got to the register and it was $65.00. I was completely shocked! Never again.
Incredible selection of shop made confectioneries, retro treats, and crowd favorite candies. Staff was very friendly as well!
I was looking for a sweet shop that had Raspberry fudge and I found it here! I wound up buying a lot more than I was looking for, simply because there’s a LARGE variety to choose from. The store is clean, the fudge is good, the girl at the counter (Taylor) is THE SWEETEST (sweeter than the candy!) I had a nice conversation with her and she recommended a bunch of places in the town to go to as a Newbie here:) thank you, Taylor!
Took my little girl here for her first experience to a candy shop. The girls behind the counter couldn't be more rude and ruined our experience.
Amazing business! Having worked in the area both the old and new ownership has always been amazing to me and my clients.
