The soy marinated crab. Wow. And their kimchi dumplings are in a DELISH broth. Everything was so good! The fried rice and the banchan were fantastic

I'm rating this place a 4 out of 5. The balanced seasoning in the food stood out positively, and the unique cocktails featuring Korean spirits were a highlight. It's a recommendable choice, especially if you enjoy the old-school Korean BBQ style.

As a self-proclaimed hater of sweet savory foods, "bulgogi restaurant" is the last place I imagined myself choosing to go for my first dinner in NYC, but after looking at the menu online I decided to give it a try. I'm so glad I did! This was one of the best meals I had during this visit.

The medium bulgogi was a good amount for 4 people since we ordered several other main dishes. The seasoning was sweet but not overly so. The meat was thinly shaved and tender. The waiter served it to each of us individually and two of ended up with no noodles or mushrooms, sad. Overall I think people who like bulgogi would really like this.

My favorite dish was the seafood stew. It's the savory spicy broth of a daegu maeuntang with even more seafood. The fish fillet is tender and much better than the fish I would expect in a Korean fish soup. The clams were a bit sandy but otherwise good. I kept coming back to this one. I loved the broth.

The octopus was super tender in a slightly sweet, spicy sauce. I really liked the texture of the octopus - it's not that common to find a Korean restaurant that doesn't overcook their seafood, so I was pleasantly surprised.

The ganjang gejang (soy sauce marinated raw crab) was good, and honestly was more crab than I expected for the price. It was on the sweeter side, which I didn't love (I prefer it saltier), but it was good overall. I don't think the rice needs to be in the dish - I don't think it adds anything.

The iced persimmon dessert was amazing! The iciness with the ricotta made it taste like a cheesecake. So simple but so good.

Overall came out absolutely stuffed and satisfied. I would definitely come back for the seafood stew, persimmon, and octopus.

As a foodie living in New York City, I’ve been to numerous restaurants, and by far I can proudly say this is one of my favorite Korean restaurants. Very authentic and exceptionally delicious main dishes and side dishes (banchan). Also, the staff are friendly and informative. I would also recommend ordering delicately curated Korean-style cocktails! Highly recommend it to my fellow Koreans and anyone who loves authentic Korean dishes.

I was walking from the 34th st station to penn to pick up my mother and happened upon this lovely establishment. First green flag: 95% of patrons were Korean so I knew it was gonna hit. Second green flag: I cannot even begin to describe how sweet and attentive the staff were. From the moment we walked in until we left the restaurant, I felt like I was having dinner at the home of a family friend.

The bulgogi was NOT TOO SWEET and had the perfect amount of broth and banchan to accompany. I will 100% be coming back.

So happy to finally have raw marinated crab in nyc again! I wish there’s more roe and head tho. Now it’s just one head with rice in it and two body.
The bulgogi is really good. Bonchon and dessert are unique as well. The server is very respectful and kind.

Had a great dinner here. Service is very friendly. It’s a hip Korean restaurant so not a KBBQ restaurant. The side dishes (banchan) were perfectly seasoned and plentiful. The fried fish was delicious. We had the raw marinated crab (first time having it), red shrimp pancake and the small Seoul bulgogi. Everything was fantastic. Our waiter Jun Hyeok was great. Next time, we want to try the kimchi fried rice and bossam.

This is a Korean style Bugolgi restaurant with many other dishes to try. The red shrimp pancake is awesome as well. The shrimp are tender and tasty.

$31= 2.5 carbs and one spoonful rice which is ok to try it out if u never have it before. Bulgogi is good but too sweet for me. Service is good.

The first time I ate ganjang gejang and the second time I ate bulgogi. Both were very delicious. The bulgogi was so special that it could be said to be different from the ones at other restaurants!
Next time I'm thinking of trying the kimchi fried rice and possum.
I also love persimmon desserts after meals.

The store is clean and has a relaxing atmosphere, and the staff's service is very good, making it a store you'll want to visit.

Ktown’s newly opened bulgogi store Samwoojung this year, recommended!

Bulgogi is made fresh on the spot and is much more delicious than expected (the soup is very good), and the whole process is also very interesting;

It was the first time I tried soy crab. It was not to my liking. It felt like minced meat with no texture at all

The side dish came with a whole fried fish, which was too big!

The waiters are handsome and enthusiastic I recommend friends to check in

What a pleasant find. My wife had office outing here once and liked the bulgogi. She took me and her friend on Friday and I found this place to be better than I expected. They had old school kpop music playing that really vibed with me while I was waiting. The bulgogi is the staple here and is very good. It is not too sweet but tasteful. I think the broth adds to it a lot. Raw soy crab was better than the ones I had in NJ as well. Waiters were super nice and attentive throughout. Loved the proximity to Penn Station as well! My wife and I are already talking about coming back here soon. Good spot!

Our sweet and attentive waitress gave us recommendations and advice as we have almost no experience with Korean cuisine. The side dishes were generous and varied. We enjoyed the bulgogi. We felt as if we had made a trip to Korea! It seemed very authentic.

I visited on Monday and ate bulgogi, Soyang ttukbaegi, and shrimp pancake.
All menu items were delicious.
Soyang Ttukbaegi is something I often go to in Icheon, Gyeonggi-do.
I have a regular place. I remember that restaurant!
This is New York haha
Nice explanation. But except that it was a bit hot inside. I’ll come back next time.

Smaller place, limited menu but packed in flavor and taste. Hospitable service and attention to the food being catered.
The house wines were fantastic.
I'd be going back in the heartbeat.

Please try the cold crab, bulgogi and soup. It's packed with delectable flavor.

Go enjoy!

As someone who really loves Korean food, I visited Samwoojeong.
I really like Samwoojeong Bulgogi near City Hall in Korea, but I never thought New York Bulgogi would taste better. As someone who has been to more than 10 Korean restaurants in Manhattan, Samwoojeong is truly the best. I also had soy sauce crab sauce and it was very delicious. The soy sauce crab menu, which is not available at other restaurants.it's really the best.
