8Friendly guy and puts time, effort and flavor into the food. Would recommend the chicken over rice with white sauce. Be careful on the spice bc it will change the flavor of the dish.

There are three food carts on East 14th between Third Avenue and NYU’s Palladium dorm—Santa Halal is one of them and does a good job at serving up a variety of Middle Eastern style meat + rice dishes as well as a few hot sandwiches like gyros.the food is cooked fresh on the grill.got a chicken over rice ($7 + tip). Everything from the rice to the chicken is really well seasoned and topped with your choice of sauces as well as some heated chopped pita.the grill man is nice and the service fast and pleasant
Best halal food in the area the food is served really well and tasty $7 prices doesn’t get better than that

Easily my favorite halal cart in NYC. Makes the best lamb over rice from any cart I've tried (and I've tried a lot). The sauce, lamb, and free pita bread all are very flavorful. Although I don't live in the Union Square area, I'm willing to travel just to get the lamb over rice from this cart.
