What can one say about Saratoga County Family Court that is good? Not much, I have dealt with that court system for over 35 years and not much has changed in the biased ways they treat parents. Lets start with the newer judges, Pellagalli seems to be OK and unbiased and treats fathers on a much more equal basis then the past judges, The honor-less Amy Knussman is a fathers and child's worst nightmare. But at least she isn't as ignorant as the judge she replaced. Lets just leave it as she is female ONLY friendly. As to the Law-Guardians, None care about "the best interest of the child". They are ALL more concerned with how many billable hours they can get in, Some it even seems bill for more hours then there is time to bill them for. The one you really hope don't advocate for your child is Heather Corey-Mongue, especially if you're the father. She is well known to advocate for and favor moms, even though she will claim she doesn't. She also loves to retaliate agaisnt you if you call her out or file a complaint for her not doing her job as per the ATFC rules. I have heard from the mouths of many parents that she has also advocated for unsupervised visitation with the person the child themselves have told her abused them and even a couple cases were that person was an actually convicted child abuser. CPS is a nightmare as the turnover rate for case-workers in Saratoga County is the 2nd highest in the state and I have seen cases were they were encourage to lie in order to remove the child from the home. Never talk to any of these people without recording them. My advice is to stay as far away from this place or anyone who works within the system as possible

The family court clerk was very respectful and helpful with the needs I am enduring.

I wish I could give her a 0. She should have never been in charge of deciding where children are. She dont listen, she dont care, she's terrible. Glad she's gone. Finally a judge that listens and has a heart.

Honorable Judge Jensen is a very fair and reasonable judge I fought years for my children, yes she's a little rough around the edges but all in all she did what was in the best interest for my children.

I received a phone call at the earlier part of March indicating that I would be able to open a child support case. It has now been a month and a half and I have not received any correspondence or phone calls about the matter. I have tried several times to contact the office but unfortunately they only offer an automated system and it keeps rejecting my Social Security number. So again, I’m left with no answers. As a struggling single mother this makes things very difficult. I hope that at some point someone contacts me.

Judge Densmore is horrible. Apparently its totally okay for a judgement made of 57$ week for a child in 2012 to remain the same after countless issues of non payment, father changing jobs many times, still living at home with parents with no bills while I work full time, pay for child care and have the child 75% of the time. It was one sided from the start. Asked me a ton of questions about my income and glanced at the fathers info for 5 seconds. The father told the judge he stopped working again and will start a new job at a pizza shop next week. Lets rewind to 2014 when that was the same excuse and that judge dismissed me then. Lets not force this person to get his life together and step up to the plate. Lets coddle this behavior. The judge was more than supportive of this father. And more so condemning me for bringing it back to court. I pay 200$ a month just for child care for my child and he pays 228$ a month. Im so glad that i have that $28 to put towards food and other essentials for my daughter! Thank you very much Judge Densmore! Since 2012 i went to school, became a nurse, bought a home and started a business while the father has remained the same. What were to happen if I didnt better my life? We would be on social services. Maybe then you would have ruled this father get his stuff together and better his life so he can evenly contribute since he is the father and it is also his responsibility.
