Saratoga Spa State Park reviews
26My favorite park. Performing Arts Center, tennis courts, auto museum, fresh water wells, mineral spas, theatre that has plays, lawns to relax on, golf, great public pool and wonderful picnic and walking trails. The pool is attached to a very nice place to eat. And oh yea, did I mention the Gideon Putnam Hotel? Go there for brunch.
Spa State Park is one of the most underrated places in Saratoga. While people know it mostly for SPAC, the park is also home to some light hiking trails, gorgeous buildings, and numerous historic springs dating back to the park's original use as a carbonic gas extraction site. If you have an afternoon to just wander around, do it here.
Was in a situation this summer where the park police were called and they never came, the regular police said they could not dispatch to the park.
So if you think you are safe in the park I would really think again.
Came here a few times during the summer months and each time was a gorgeous day. Loved walking around, especially actually going to the springs to drink the water. Distinctly remember a man filling gallons of spring water and loading into his pickup truck to supply in his physician's office - he said he truly believed in the deep healing properties of the spring water. The only annoying thing we discovered was that we were asked to pay at every checkpoint, so best to park in one spot and walk. Also, not all the staff were friendly.
I held a scavenger HUNT to help spread the power of positivity. Great park, free to use, very clean, lots of space! Not to mention the springs and its beautiful here! We had fun in the park
Awesome spot to walk/jog around. The park is well maintained. Saratoga Performing Arts Center is an awesome added feature to the park. SPAC brings in top level talent concerts and adds rich recreation to the area.
Great clean park. There was plenty of trails to hike or bike. All the trails were marked and map was easy to read. A great place to go and spend the day outdoors. There was a lot to do and see from the natural springs and auto museum.
Great park, just beautiful the grounds are beautiful. The trails are good for jogging, walking. There are plenty of options the theater, the car museum, the pool, the golf course, the hotel, the spa, and of course the spring water to be enjoyed.
Experience all Saratoga Springs has to offer in this park, tasty, natural mineral waters, mineral water bath house & spa treatment, mile upon mile of running trails, scenic 1930's park setting amidst tall towering pines lining the roadside. Very relaxing and almost every type of breakfast/lunch/dinner/ one could ask. Take it off slowly, put some back.
Great place to walk, bike or swim in either of their two public pools. I've heard the golf course are great and fantastic place to see concerts at the ampitheater.
Beautiful park with fresh springs to fill water jugs with. Great hotel and golf course. Awesome concerts and hiking trails.
Beautiful place to visit. Very large campus that you can walk or drive around. Park has almost everything you can imagine. Pavillion areas you can rent are BEAUTIFUL.
Wow! Been here over 10 years ago for the jazz concerts as well as strolling the place. Such a beautiful park! Very clean, well kept and peaceful. We're going back for our 10 years wedding anniversary. Can't wait!
As usual always a nice place to go and be and enjoy a day out at the pool or to hear a concert or to enjoy a picnic at 1 of New York's better state parks
Relaxing nature with creeks and geisers along with (awful tasting) spring spas. I tried to taste all but not fan of any
Went to a birthday party for my nephew, Love the park so relaxing and chill, good time everytime I go
One of the best state parks in the country. It can be a bit of maze if you don't know where you're going, but it's a fantastic place to spend a day, especially before a concert. Plenty of grills, picnic tables and natural springs for delicious (or super sulfurous) water. Absolutely worth a day trip if you're in the area.
Very expensive. $41.50 for lawn/dirt seats $14.00 for a $1.35 beer, food/ merchandise forget about it.only worth it is if you really and I mean really like who's playing
This is a large well appointed park. There are walking trails throughout the many acres of land. There are many pavilions available (by reservation only). Restrooms can be found throughout the park. Almost all of the park is handicap accessible including the walking trails. Also while here be sure to visit the mineral springs and mini old faithful, the natural geyser that sprays up all the time. The mineral springs are drinkable but take getting used to. There are also two public pools on site. Entry in a car is $8.00 no matter how many people are in the car. Entry on foot or by bicycle is free.
It's gorgeous, you can even go in the water in some areas. It's so large, every visit leaves more to see and explore.
