Savor Restaurant and Bar, Mahopac NY

Pizza was dry. We ordered a large pizza and they gave a small one. Very disappointed. Lost multiple customers over saving the 1$ on making the pizza right! Waste of time and money.

The customer service is mediocre and their takeout food really isn’t great. They go really light on chicken in most of their dishes. I’ve ordered chicken pizzas from there multiple times, one time they gave me a regular cheese, second time there was under 10 pieces of chicken on the whole pizza. It’s pretty good food just not worth it for me.

The food is delicious, and the service is excellent. I look forward to returning. Half-price happy hours make me very happy.

Marsala pizza had no cheese and barely 6 pieces of chicken. Also very small for a large pizza. Really stinky honestly.

I ordered take out a month ago and 2 of the 3 meals were poorly made. The chicken parm dish was mainly pasta and cheese. The chicken was paper thin and quite small. The mozzarella and eggplant dish was mainly pasta and the mozzarella with eggplant were hard to find. Both dishes were loaded with pasta and did not taste well as the seasoning was off. We were very disappointed with our take out food. We could not finish the dinner and had to throw it away. Gave it a one star rating.

Update: The owner, Rick, contacted me regarding our takeout dinner and provided me with a gift certificate to makeup for the 2 takeout meals. That is representative of an owner who cares about his business and acted with professionalism and integrity. Thank you. However, we went to the restaurant last night 12.1.23 and walked away with mix reviews on the food. Our appetizers were good however two of our dinners were not. These dishes were the cod and the spaghetti and meatballs. The cod was not soft and flaky while the spaghetti and meatballs were watery and lacked seasoning.

I like this place a lot really good food waitresses was so nice and helpful highly recommended the only issue we saw was some drunk loud obnoxious lady at the bar we were so happy she left absolutely not the restaurants fault we will be back 100% thank you

My guests and I shared 8 apps. All were delish. We sat outside by the propane heater and were quite comfortable. Will choose other apps next time.

Excellent food. The $20 Monday night special is a steal, but the glass of wine that is included is more like a sampler
Reservations are necessary for the special which includes everything, no hidden add ons

Honestly, I think this place is way over hyped. Been here a few times, food is alright but service is always terrible- not sure if they don’t have enough people or their current employees just don’t care. Last time I was there with a girl friend we were put on the upstairs’ ledge- waited 20 min to order a drink and another 20 to get the drinks….

Also the owner/staff/patrons all park in the lot across the street which is used for other businesses. Owner doesn’t care that it affects other businesses- how neighborly.

Absolutely terrible experience. Made reservations for bottom floor on open table. When we arrived were told there were no more seats available (so what's the point of a reservation?). Reservations for 6 pm. Our drinks did not arrive at the table until 7: 30 PM with our dinner. Wait staff extremely unhelpful. Food was not even worth the wait. Will never be going back. The parking is terrible and they are not wheelchair accessible or Senior people friendly.

Came here on Sunday for happy hour and I am so glad we did! The happy hour has to be the best deal around. Amazing food, great house wine, amazing cocktails and the service was incredible. Each employee was so welcoming and fun to be around. We will be back!

Had dinner from the $30 prefix menu. Did crabcakes appy and shrimp main. Delicious. The waiter was friendly and service was great.

What a great place. Comfortable, clean, and the service was top of the line. I enjoyed fine dinning with service and a smile. The best part of my experience was with a server named angelette. She made it all come together

Wow just wow! Not only was the food amazing, the ambiance perfect, the music great, and the level of service hard to even find since the pandemic hit (Thank you manager, Rob), the place was hopping, saw many patrons wearing veteran caps and flags, and everyone was super friendly. Plus we wandered in during happy hour (Tues - Fri from 3: 30 - 6: 30), so this amazing experience was half priced! I really can’t recommend this establishment strongly enough. Best date night ever with my love.

The food, the service & the ambiance are all excellent, love the lobster ravioli I get it every time.

The food and value is great at Savor. The portion is just right. They did a great job on fixing up the outdoor eating area. The only complain is the service. The staff is not properly trained which is not their fault. Management needs to pay more attention on the services and details. When we first got there we asked to be seated inside, but we changed our mind as soon as we sat down since it was a little too loud for our group to have conversations during dinner. There were empty tables outside and we asked to switch seating. We asked the manager, and she looked at us and just said “why? ”. Not accommodating at all, and we were taken back by her responses. When food arrived, they were passed down from one person to another instead is actually serving the food (we only has 5 people in our group, not like we have a long table). Same with collecting the plates after eating. Instead of walking over to pick up our dishes. We were asked to pass all the dishes back to the server standing at one end of the table while we were having a conversations among us. It is actually comical, but small details can make this place a hot spot to be! What a shame, they have good food, and owner seems to make a great effort to make the place look nice! But service and management is a big part to restaurant. Not sure I will go back.
