Sayville Bike Works reviews
13The team at bike works are the most knowledgeable mechanics on the island and are always willing to give a helping hand. Had a great experience getting my awesome cannondale habit ht.
Mikey and Jeff put getting your bike serviced in to its own realm! Their attention to detail and expertise ensure that not only does your bike receives top-notch treatment but you get the services you need!
Mike, Jeff and everyone else at Sayville Bike Works have been taking care of my families biking needs for nearly a decade, they're like extended family. I couldn't recommend anyone more for your cycling needs. Come for the bikes, stay for the conversation!
I needed help removing parts of my bicycle and the service couldn’t have been any better! They took care of the bike right away and there was no charge!
Pleasant and polite as well!
I brought my SE BIKE into the shop. I needed a new front tire because it had a thorn in my tire. They fixed it in 10 mins and they even installed new grips. They even did a full check up on the bike which included tightening the gears, tightening the nuts on the tires and other quick fixes. They did the job quick and they were very friendly I would definitely recommend
I can’t say enough about how nice they are! I’m visiting from NJ with a beat-up old beach cruiser in need of a seat and tire tube. They hooked me right up and I’m heading back today for bling!
Love this shop! Have purchased some parts in the past, had some maintenance done a few times, and just bought a bike from them. Great, friendly service every time. I can't say enough positive things about them.
I can’t say enough great things about this place! I never leave reviews, but I felt compelled after my experience there with Jeff and his team. I have an 8 year old bike that needed a new chain and some TLC, but I was nervous the cost to overhaul this bike was not going to be worth it. After stopping in, Jeff was totally transparent about the cost of services and said he would call me if he discovers anything else that would need fixing. He was super knowledgeable and genuine so I ran home, dropped off my bike, and ONE HOUR LATER my bike was fixed! Talk about a miracle. The cost was well below what I expected and my bike is BETTER than when I initially bought it! I can’t believe it, honestly. This is the only bike place I will go to from now on.
Mike was so helpful over the phone to resolve my beach cruiser tire / valve issue because my tires were low and after we spoke I was able to fix it at home. Jeff was very helpful with information for my bike and bike rack. Great bike shop and will always go there! Highly recommended
Brought my sons bike here to get the chain fixed and they took care of it quickly. Fixed other things that were wrong with it as well. Great customer service and friendly. Also have an assortment of bikes to purchase. Highly recommend for all bike needs.
Been there a bunch of times for parts and service items. Staff is always super helpful and friendly. Glad they are my local shop!
This place is the best! Mikey and Jeff are always on top of what needs to get done to my bike and give me a fair price. If something needs to be replaced that I wasn’t aware of, they let me know and get it done!
I dropped by bike off to sayville bike shop because it had ONE broken/stripped pedal. $70 later I was told I needed to pay for two pedals that were black and cheap quality ($20), not even matching my bike, in addition to a price to have had the bike looked over ($20) which was no my discussed with me, as well as a $25 charge for a new piece under my seat which I did not ask for or agree to. Plus tax, came to $70. I dropped the bike off for one pedal.
I expressed my concerns to sayville bike works which were the following;
1.) My pedals were thick durable pedals that matched my bike, I thought since they were a bike shop they could get the one pedal for me. This was the point I’m going to them.
2.) I never agreed to a charge for them to look over the bike.
3.) I did not ask them to fix my seat.
After expressing my concerns at sayville bike works, I was told that I could JUST call the company and maybe they would refund me since the bike is so new. What a poor answer to give a customer who you basically just stole money from. I am VERY disappointed with sayville bike works and I will make sure others are aware as well as anywhere else I can leave a review or whomever else I can contact. This was not right to do to someone. I work in Long Beach which has a ton of bike shops, yet I picked this one because I saw good reviews. What a shame.
PS. I now have two useless black pedals and nonsense charges because I called the company huffy and they shipped me one pedal for $8.99.
