Schuyler Inn, Menands NY

Not sure how they have people living like this weather they are homeless or not the living conditions are unbelievable i can't believe that they have not been shut down yet.

Awful, water was leaking in people room, power still out, no generators, no phones. People had to call for oxygen, management personal only 1. I could go on and on. Can you rate -0 they are making me choose a star minus them all. For a shelter that has babies and elderly what a disgusting place

The place is very old ran down and in real bad need of renovation.not enough staff to how many rooms there are the place also has a bad pest problem. The hotel is used as a shelter for homeless women and children. And I think because of that they really let the place go

Hotel single room occupancy it's a beautiful place that you pay by Monthly I came as a walk in they told me to came back with $650.00 and that includes three meals a day cable in the landline phone and you can't beat that I love area is a great place to wait for an apartment or if you wish to stay some have been here for years I really recommend it so if you're in the community give them a shot the staff are super respectful and the chefs know what they're doing for real.

I personally was treated with upward respect. Even till today to call to see of any openings. The staff are great. They offer nice dinners. I feel why the negativity on this place. I know its a government program. That state workers help home people that can utilize the services. I personally rented a room. By paying to stay there, as I lived homeless to and with celebrities as I am one disabled with a media background. After all this. Put the two together I feel these programs are disrespected by thoes that want silver plates along everything free. Thoes that are disrespectful on throes aspects quick to judge by looks of the help. I over all from time I last moved out woking with the staff of Mr George Ortiz along Judy Cocca to the personal one on one security on safety. Learned a lot I have. One be grateful and if you have any programming in your past like I. Its together we should put our skills with what the cordination staff has and better these blessings. So to them. 5 stars. As a motel and friendly enviroment.

The Schuyler in is barely better than sleeping on the street. In fact if my kids weren't with me, I would have slept in my car. DSS cuts your benefits tremendously! Because The Schuyler Inn charges the state nearly $1,000.oo a week for each room with a family. There's almost 70 rooms. That's no B. S.either. Now do the math. That pkace is privately owned by a very popular Father in Albany. I'm not naming names. It just makes you think when people say they are helping the homeless? Well hell yeah. Give me $70,000.oo a week and see what I do for some homeless people. Maybe I'm bus at because I lived there for nearly 6 months and endured the meals they serve you and take nearly all your Snap benefits for chili over rice 4 meals a week. Ridiculous meals where the people serving you act like it's food from their refrigerator at their house. Don't mess up and make a mistake and beco.e homeless in Albany COUNTY because chances are.you'll be sentenced to 6 months in the county. A. K. A.the Schuyler Inn!

I recently had to stay here, and at first I thought everybody was just talking just to be heard. Staff play nice because they hide allot of things at the Schyluer inn. My bathroom ceiling fell in and I woke up to the bathroom ceiling on my floor, tub etc. It took them 2 days to move me n my daughter. Then when I did move n packed my stuff up 6 large trash bags of my daughter clothes went missing from 12: 00 am in the morning to 7: 44 in the morning. Not even a 24 he period. School wasn't even a week away, n all my daughter old n new clothes gone. I request to talk to Judy, please she is the biggest crook at the job. She gave me the run around, n never replaced anything, my daughter missed the first week of school. The shelter didn't help me even get a apt, n after I left welfare continued to deny all my apts. Long story short I got my new 3 bedroom all on my own after wasting 1 month here n having all my daughter stuff stolen, along with my social security cards, personal ID, other certificate etc. This shelter never even gave me $25 for a new ID. How can a person be homeless with no ID and suppose to be working. Welfare is fraud and so is the Schyluer inn. $2100.00 a month for them to steal 7800.00 worth of things from us, n never replaced. Judy also favors n love maintenance team and there are the same ppl who stole my stuff. Staff spotting them in my room along with other residents. This place need to be investigated again.

With out a doubt this place needs to be shut down! It’s absolutely disgusting! I posted 10 photos of the poor inhabitable condition of the room my family and I were placed in over night and none made it! There is 4-5 people at the front desk (employees) when I checked out, like what are y’all doing? How about you clean a room! I have NEVER seen anything so dirty in my whole life! Yes “homeless” people may live here they still derserve a clean living environment! New management needs to take this place over or shut it down! To add, they come in your room in the middle of the night (twice) and they don’t give you a key to your “room”. No no! I pray the truth comes out of whatever is truly going on here at the Schuyler Inn.

The food is terrible, they feed us as if we were children. The cooks are unhygienic. And they have very bad attitudes towards the people that are just trying to get back on their feet. If they don't like their jobs they should do something else. Once I received rotten food, that smelled so bad a raccoon wouldn't eat it. They almost poisoned my family. Other than that the workers here really do try to help you get a place for your family.

This place is a dump and people should not be allowed to live there.there are mice, roaches, bed bugs, washers and dryers don't work, soda machines take your money.this place gets donations and none of the people that live there receive them.the staff is rude and disrespectful.they charge the residents to eat and the food is all donated. This place NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN.the staff use the washers and dryers that are suppose to be for the people that live there.they also eat the food that is donated for the residents.the maintenance people steal from the residents, they go in their rooms when the residents leave.they don't give people their mail, they also mix the mail up.the staff rummage through the donations and take what they want and give the rest to the residents, which is the crappy stuff.they have cable in the front office, that they bootleg to the bedrooms. I AM CALLING THE HEALTH DEPARTMENT ON THEM ASAP.they threaten the residents that they will kick them out if they make waves about the things that are going on there. DSS pays a lot of money for these people to stay there, the conditions should be better.there should also be a MANDATORY pop up inspection on this place. I wouldn't let my dog live here.

Terrible. I posted 8 pictures of the condition of my room and only 1 picture was accepted. Well there is animal hair all throughout the room. The rooms are not clean at all. The sink is clogged and stained from vomit or food that is still here when my daughter and I walked through the room. No bed sheets, just too much is wrong whoever this paster is that is in charge of this place has done a terrible job. I was here 10yrs ago and the place went downhill. Let's me know that the money that the state pays for this place doesn't go to this place. It takes the pastor on vacation and keeps his bills paid. In the end the shelter will be shut down for not being taking care of and the pastor will just continue to live his life. He may just buy another building to have as a shelter GOD knows he has the money to do it.

This place is horrible it needs to be shut down like yesterday. That is not a place for families people do not deserve to be treated like that. This is why I'm sending the health department there. I'm shocked to know this place is still taken in families Father Young needs to be a shamed.

LOCCM is a great church. It's like the original church in the book of Acts. Anointed worship, powerful Biblical messages preached. People have been healed from cancer. The latest, Dr verified healing is a teenager who was healed from MD, yes! Muscular dystrophy. Awesome. Kudos to the Schuyler Inn.

It is really dirty there is stuff pealing off the walls and the bread they give us be moldey it just horrlble to live in

The Schuyler is lets a radical Cult "church" called LOCCM opperate out of it. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS "CHURCH"

Absolutely horrible, filthy, rooms, trash is all over the yard, staff is incredibly rude. Calls themselves "a facility" but it's more like a crack house.

They steal in here! Watch your stuff & the staff here! They r grimy! And the staff is rude! They steal from the poor and r rude to the poor. Most of the staff I should say. And please don't give US anymore donations because WE the people who live here do not I repeat do not receive them! Endless reasons why this place deserves a zero!

My pastor rents a room in the shelter of a home. They take donations of everything. Great place! House of the Lord!
