Schweiger Dermatology Group reviews
16Dr K was friendly and did a good job with the biopsy & stitches I needed. PA Minogue was also A+. However, it’s been over a week since my procedure and no one has contacted me with biopsy results. Every message I send through the portal (Klara) goes unanswered. Meanwhile, there was no delay with the arrival of the bill! Woof.
I was recommended the fraxel laser treatment which has a higher risk of damaging my black skin as opposed to the skin of a white patient.
I'm not an expert and I don't claim to be, but it does seem that other laser treatments such as the Yag and Aerolase have much lower risks of damaging my skin.
I feel like this should have been explained, and that ultimately the two consultations I had with Schweiger Dermatology were a waste of time.
I believe that everyone seeking an amazing dermatologist who attentively listens to their concerns gives wonderful feedback as well recommendations she believes will remedy their current dermal situation Dr. Seckler, will be my number #1 recommendation to everyone reading this post.
My appointment was at the 153 E 88th St office on April 4,2022. I arrived an hour early. I observed as Iris graciously assisted other patients as they arrived. There was one patient that was particularly difficult but Iris remained composed & gracious. It was my 2nd visit there to see Hana Seckler who is very knowledgeable & the most kind, compassionate, thorough provider that I know. Everyone that I've encountered has exemplified great people skills. GOD BLESS ALL.
Great dr and staff. Dr Hana Seckler was attentive and understood my needs. Also the wait time was very minimal!
Every time I visit the office I have a great experience. Everything very organized and on a timely manner
Great dermatologist! Dr Hana Seckler was very kind, attentive and answered all my questions. She even suggested multiple treatment options without being salesy or pushy.
Zero wait time and kind staff. The exam room was a bit too warm but overall a great experience!
Mis-afternoon visit. There was no waitI, was seen by a friendly practitioner and treated effectively in about 10 minutes, and I was out the door soon there after. Excellent experience.
It was my first time and Gabrielle is great. She listened to all my concerns and answered all my questions. I was super happy with the service I’ve received and the office is very clean. I had a great experience and did not feel rushed. I recommended some of my friends here already. I’m excited to start my skin journey with her!
Staff were friendly. Dr. Shaurya was super sweet, informative, and friendly. The office was clean. Wait time was literally 3 minutes. I was out of there within 20 min tops.
Efficient and friendly staff. Felt confident with the medical staff, the treatment and the advice. I received. No delays with the appointment which took place on time.
Gabriel was very helpful. And also reached out to me, after my first visit so i could learn more about my skin condition
Schweiger is a scam. Do not go there.
After ~10 visits, it was clear the office only cares about recommending the most expensive treatment and products, and don't care at all about patient outcome. They ruined my skin by starting me on a prescription of which the dose was so high that it horrified dermatologists elsewhere I later visited. Then they scammed me into taking an expensive, painful and useless allergy test (and charged me co-pays 3 times), and pushed me to use an extremely expensive pharmacy that custom make prescriptions from scratch. Even this fancy pharmacy thought the order was completely excessive and made no sense.
After they realized I stopped going, they sent me a bill for a visit that they had explicitly told me didn't require another co-pay, just to squeeze the last blood out of their patients.
PLEASE save your skin and hard-earned money and go somewhere else.
This dermatology office will scam you into multiple multiple and again multiple visits for every copay for the smallest of treatments. It’s just frustrating.
Great Dermatologist. She provided me with a routine that fit my specific acne condition and wait time was less than 5 minutes. Thank you!
Pros: Dr. Sharuya and Dr. Jacobellis are great, I have seen them both and they are friendly, competent, and I trust them- highly recommend. ; Very easy and quick to get an appointment ; Offices are clean, newer, and comfortable and I rarely wait long upon arrival
Cons: you have to go through a main number to speak to a local office regarding billing /lab/tests results and it is very inconvenient. It seems like mgmt tried to reinvent the wheel. ; Lately they have been trying to force you to see a P. A versus the actually MD. Although I am sure the P. A's are fully capable, I (insurance) am charged the same fee whether a P. A or MD sees me, so I would rather consult with someone with more experience/training.
