Schweiger Dermatology Group - Garden City

1st of all I love️? How neat and clean this place is very professional employees and the doctors really know there stuff here.today was my 1st time visiting but I have came her before. On a previous visit for my daughter they made us feel comfortable and at home and they answer any questions I had regarding my skin and my daughter's skin I will recommend this place to anyone with skin problems or that have any questions that has to deal with there bodies Thanks again so much you guys are the best

I just tried to make an apt between 11-3 and could not because of "technical difficulties". After 15 mins she says in inaudible voice theres no apt between 10-3 only 8am.wt? I told her what my time l needed and she couldnt tell me when the next slot would be open. Wh a t kind of place is this?

I am not one to easily leave 1 star reviews, but my most recent (and only) visit to Garden City Schweiger warrants it due to their disregard for patients' time.

Schweiger has recently switched systems so when I wanted to make an immediate appointment for treatment of a burn I was told to visit this location instead of my usual one. That was fine and I made an appointment for the upcoming Tuesday. On Monday, I received a call that due to the system change they had accidentally double booked my appointment slot and that the earliest I could be seen was actually Wednesday at 12 pm, so I agreed to that. At 10 am on Wednesday, 2 hrs before my appt, I receive a call informing me that my derm wouldn't be in until 2 pm so I would need to move my appointment again. Can you imagine how this played out at my job? Having to request certain times off? No one was apologetic by the way. I arrived promptly at 2 pm and after 20 minutes of waiting am called to fill out forms - why I wasn't given forms in the first place, I'm unsure.

After 1 hr of waiting I am finally seen by the derm for all of 10 minutes. She gives me inapplicable advice treating my burn as acne hyperpigmentation, re-prescribes medication that I had already decided against since it wasn't covered by my insurance, and tells me if "the cream you're currently using isn't working, stop using it" before rushing out. She also tried to peddle the Hydroquinone pads at the front for my burn scar without even advising me about its side effects such as that it can cause greater hyperpigmentation on darker complexions and the FDA's warning that it causes cancer. That is an egregious failure as a doctor. I am truly at a loss for how unhelpful and what a waste of time and money this was.

I have never written a negative review but feel compelled on behalf of any parent who has a child suffering from acne. After three appointments with two different practitioners it is clear that patient compassion is non existent. Why be a dermatologist if you can’t drum up a shred of empathy for the child or the parent going through such a difficult phase of adolescence? Shameful. Clearly this is a factory based medical practice that likely cares more about selling cosmetic services than actually performing a medical service. And lastly, shameful that never once was there an attempt to discuss diet and other holistic approaches to combatting acne. Even just 30 seconds to remind about staying hydrated, avoiding fatty foods and dairy.what’s the harm? Never going back.

My experience here is great. The people are nice and they are quick and they get straight to business!

When you arrive you get called right away. They are very kind and welcoming. A big plus is that they have another pharmacy that they send your prescriptions to and it's covered so you don't have to pay money unlike other dermatologists you go to that send your prescriptions to a local cvs and sometimes you have to pay alot of money. Amazing dermatologists!

My appointment with Dr. Funt was at 11: 00 am and I was done with my annual skin check at 11: 30 am! Pleasant office & convenient location.

Saw Jaclyn Guarino, the Physicians Assistant. She was great and very attentive to be treated by.

When my psoriasis was out of control I needed an emergency appointment to get a script filled, Dr. Tina Funt at Village Dermatology got me in to see her right away! We tried something new and my psoriasis is finally clearing up! Can’t thank her enough, especially with the warm weather arriving.

I actually visit this place twice for my acne problem and my experience it’s just horrible.the doctor who saw me did it for literally 2 minuets did not even look at me sling properly and prescribed me some things to wash my face with. I have a severe acne problem and of course it have to be treated from the inside so I went back and that time he recommend me some piles that have me trying up, diarrhea an some other worse sad effects, I will never be back there

Lovely people and love the atmosphere. The doctors are amazing and the MA are great people. Love it and if you have any skin questions I recommend them 100%

Very Clean and Professional Office. Dr. Hammerman was great to work with. The entire Staff was excellent. I have visited this office twice and was impressed at how clean the office was. I will go back and recommend the office to anyone who needs the services of a Dermatologist.

I’ve been visiting this office a few times a month for the past 6 months and have had a wonderful experience each time. Everyone is so friendly and helpful from when I arrive to when I leave. Angela for laser hair removal is incredibley knowledgeable, professional, and personable I truly feel taken care of when I come here and recommend them to anyone!

I started seeing Dr Funt this past January and had an outstanding experience. She is my new go to for all skin ailments and various youth renewing procedures. I just got my lips done and they look amazing fuller but natural. Every time I walk out of her office I feel clean, fresh and young. Her office staff is professional, very accommodating and super friendly as well.

I have been a patient of Dr. Tina Funt for one year. I am pleased with her knowledge, professionalism and compassion. I would highly recommend.

This place is a ripoff. I was charged $725 for a visit that was less than 20 minutes. I was also charged $500 for surgery which was never spoken of or performed. All she did was prescribe me over the counter medications and freeze 2 tiny warts on one of my fingers, which took less than 20 seconds!

Everyone there is so nice and thorough they are very caring and patient I really enjoy going to this place
