Secor Home and Hardware, Newark NY

The manager Tina I believe was her name that was on on 2/19/23 was nasty with customers walking into the store looking like she just rolled out of bed. Rolling her eyes when asked a question. Rolled her eyes and gave attitude to another employee in front of multiple customers. I'm an assistant director of a company and if I had an employee like that I would have never made them a manager. If that's who you want representing your store then that's a store I know many will not be walking into. It's pretty sad when you see another customer having to go in the back and cut there own materials due to the manager who stated she knew how to do it just didn't want to be bothered. Then the manager trys to charge you twice as much for the material when that was not the cost of the item. I'm appalled at my experience in the store. This store has clearly gone down hill.

Expensive. Cashier was apparently new and not yet able to handle return/swaps without confusion. Exasperating.

Needed UPS store. In and out in a few minutes. Nice store, too. I need to g back and look around. It's a DO IT CENTER!

Love their garden center. Very helpful employees. Reasonable prices. It is a small business and a wonderful store. Glad to have it in the area.

Large selection of fasteners the only place I found my drywall screws for metal studs that didn't strip while screwing them in to the metal studs

Found everything I needed and the people that worked there were very helpful great store and service.

Screws are half the quality and double the price of lowes. Called and quoted lumber. I show up 20 minutes later and the price went up $4 a board. I would much rather support a local business but bad business is bad business. Lowes it is! Steer clear of Shady Secor!

I always call and go there first before anywhere else, The team there is great and has awesome customer service. No waiting to get help or employees walking by you like you're not there like the other bigger stores.

Lots of variety. I go there when I need fasteners and special bolts that are hard to find because they usually have them.

Enjoyed several hours in this place. Loved the Christmas section and the prices were nice too.

It's nice to have a close hardware store, but walked by lots of staff without them even making eye contact or smiling.

The cashier there was amazing to talk to. He was laughing and smiling all the time talking to me and my granddaughter. Also the lady that was out watering and checking on the plants was also sweet. We enjoyed our visit and shopping here

Staff is great and they have a good assortment of everything. Weather your looking for plumping
