I honestly cannot stop talking about my experience at SEE, which was my first with them after breaking up with my previous eye care provider of 6 years. I couldn't have made a better choice, and not just because the doctor at SEE informed me that my previous doctor had overcorrected my glasses by 75%, but because she was also one of the kindest, most helpful, and caring doctors I've ever met. The sales staff followed suit. Instead of immediately trying to sell me new frames, I was first told I could swap my incorrect lenses for my new, correct prescription into the frames I already had. When I said I didn't like those anyway, we began the shopping process. Jared recommended a great pair for my face and taste right off the bat, and they were not only cute but super affordable. Then, sitting at the desk checking out, I discovered the Buffalo Horn frame collection, which is significantly more expensive than any other frame I've ever encountered, but last for 20+ years, never need to be adjusted, and are just beautiful. I wasn't pushed toward or even shown these frames - but, trying on a pair, I couldn't resist, especially as I had plenty of money on my FSA card since my medically necessary contact lenses were quickly honored by the SEE team. My previous doctor's office refused to honor this policy in my insurance plan, which was absolutely horrifying to me. The staff at SEE was as excited about these frames as I was when they arrived a week later, and a week ahead of schedule. Likewise, my contacts order arrived within 24 hours of my visit. When a payment issue occurred with my FSA, the staff was so kind and helpful about holding my order until I could get the FSA card in working order. I've never felt so well taken care of, so NOT taken advantage of or pushed around, and so excited about an eye visit.and I've been going since I was 8 years old-25 years of my life. I cannot recommend this location and its team highly enough.

This is a very happy place and a very busy place. The issue with giving out contact lenses for a patient Without a valid prescription from a doctor is not something we can do. Which why we offered them to see the doctor for an eye exam. This way the doctor gives them a prescription and they can walk out with trial contacts. The contacts could last a day, or a week depending on what is decided by both doctor and patient. Which they can use that prescription for future supplies of contacts.
It’s a medical device if anything goes wrong we will be responsible. Rather be safe than sorry.
Myself and many other managers in this industry deal with this always. As optician and as doctors we have to do the right thing.we care about our image, mostly the health of our clients eyes and a positive experience.
We do everything we can to make everyone happy and that is something that we work on every day. From a manager to the sales associates.
We love to make everyone SEE what we are about.

I’ve been having issues with my eyes that many doctors have been unable to help with. I visited Dr. Lamees Alshawkani after a couple of coworkers recommended her and can say without a doubt that she is the best of the best. She was punctual, remained patient through all my questions and did not rush me at any point during the exam. Her bedside manner was superb; I felt like I was talking to a friend the entire time. I appreciated her gentleness and effort in making my comfort her priority and actually helping me with my concerns. I am so grateful to have found my new optometrist; she's not one to let go of. Also, I decided to stick around and check out SEE’s glasses and they just have an amazingly fun and eclectic selection. Muse helped me find sunglasses that flatter my face and I ended up getting two. I loved my experience and cannot wait to go back!

When I arrived at my appointment I noticed the Dr was an other one different from the one I choosed on Zoc Doctor, and i was not noticed of that. The visit was fine and pretty complete but I walked out without a cure and I needed to call and ask 5 times to have a summary of my visit and a refferal of the next treatment that the Dr reccomanded. Once they prepare it, the other Doctor (not the one she visited me) wrote my refferral by hands on a small piece of paper. Unbelievable. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL, NOT SERIOUS AND UNCOMFORTABLE. I will never go there again.

Well let me first start off by saying that their glasses selection is always amazing! You will never find more unique frames than here. They have so much personality, not just plain boring frames like most places. The cool thing about this place is that they only make a limited amount of frames, so you will never see them again. You are sure to never see someone else rocking your frames.

Now let me tell you about the amazing customer service. Muse seems to always be there when I'm there and is absolutely the face of amazing customer service. I've told him that I've given up on LensCrafters to come here. He's taken such great care of me. I had a situation were I had "my own frame" and they were hard to cut lenses for. He must have had them redone like 10 times just to make sure they were perfect. He was amazing, and so is the rest of the staff at this location. If you need a cool funky pair of glasses that will surely turn heads and not kill your pockets, visit this place!

Horrible eyeglasses shop. Stay away! One time I stopped in and wanted a pair of mydriatic lens. The manager says that the doctor is busy and I should stop in another time. I came back a few weeks later and then the manager says we don't just give them away. Complete 180 stance. Not only that I noticed the See Eyewear shops whether in NYC, Pittsburgh, Boston, etc all have very controlling managers. One moment the employees are very friendly then talking to the manager, the employee almost becomes a completely different person and not in a good way. Their personailities can be very schizophrenic sometimes. Note that I bought a few pairs of glasses from them. I just don't like the people there. They're not very genuine.

Walked into the store on the upper west side to find some fun glasses and they did not disappoint. Me being plain Jane I was not ready to take that bold step.

My husband decided to give me glasses for Christmas so I was forced to find something and be bold. Lol.

Anyway the store has a great selection. Both uws and soho store has friendly and super helpful staff. I will happily return when I want something new again.

Stay away! Worse service I’ve had experienced, there’s no refund policy for sunglasses! I got a pair as a present but didn’t like them. Nothing I could do about it. So many other options in the City. Just find an other place to spend your money.

We stumbled across the SoHo store while walking around NYC. The selection of unique frames was incredible. Elisabeth was very helpful in picking out my frames. I had to email my prescription when I got back to Arizona, and my new glasses arrived a couple weeks later. Now everyone wants to know where I got the cool frames. Thank you Elisabeth and See Eyewear!

I got eyeglasses last year at this establishment. In my 67-year-old vernacular, it seemed to be a very trendy, very cool shop. Let me tell you that maybe the location and the store looked cool, but the glasses turned out to be horrible - very, very, ridiculously-expensive horrible. First of all, all the frames in the store are plastic. They are, I must admit, an attractive shape and color; but plastic frames slip because there are no nose pads. I did not realize this. I did not realize, as well, that my new glasses would slip down my nose constantly, that is, ALL the time! When eyeglasses don’t sit in the right place on the nose, they become very uncomfortable and heavy-feeling, not to mention, the focus is misaligned. The salesman that I purchased these glasses from was the epitome of good nature, patience, and style. Well, when I went back to this store to ask if anything could be done to fix my slipping glasses, the same salesman gave me a quick and adamant NO. This type of eyeglasses cannot be adjusted is what he stated. I then traveled to SEE’s other locations in Manhattan, only to be told again that there is nothing that can be done to prevent the slipping. I never stated how much these glasses cost. I have progressive lenses, which are multi focal, but the lenses do not have any particular qualities about them like thickness. Having said that, are you ready for the price: $800. Nothing can be done for $800 eyeglasses never sitting on the bridge of my nose? I will never, I repeat, never get glasses from SEE again, nor will anyone else I know. I felt like money was stolen right out of my hands. What phony crooks!

Would you believe that the one and the same salesman just called me on the telephone. It has been two days since I posted the review above. When I heard him say who he was, I couldn’t believe my ears. He denied being a “crook” and told me that I should ship my glasses to him if I’m not able to come in and he would, and I quote, “Pop my lenses out and put them in a new and improved frame with the same design as mine. ” “Then, he continued, “we’ll see how that works. ” If you are a New Yorker reading this, you’ll know what I mean when I say that I’m not an “upper eastsider. ” I can’t buy more than one pair of eyeglasses because these were so costly, and because these glasses are my only pair, how am I supposed to see without them? He should have thought of helping me before instead of just reacting to my review. I have no desire to “see how that works. ” There’s obviously no way that SEE can be of any service to the customer once your card is swiped, and you walk out their door.

Avoid, had to have my lenses swapped three times here, and still they aren't right. This place always brags about how much better they are than Warby and other providers, nope, they are just as bad.

Great experience at this location! The doctor and staff were very informative and pleasant. The selection of glasses seemed almost endless. I enjoyed how well my needs were met and look forward to returning.

I have to say I was very pleasantly surprised when the store manager immediately contacted me upon posting and unfavorable review regarding frames I felt fit me poorly - he reminded me that had I contacted him to begin with he would have taken care of my complaint

I did originally state that I love the frames at SEE and seems that this retailer turned my negative experience into a positive one - more retailers should be this responsive to their customers - and we as consumers should also give them a proper chance to attend to our issues
