Semkeh, Brooklyn NY

We order from Semkeh quite often but recently I’ve not been happy with how they are packing the to go/delivery orders. Before the rice and meat were in a separate container and the salad and hummus were packed together. Now everything is in one container. The food looks sloppy and messy. It’s difficult to warm with the salad in the same container and the rice is wet with hummus. Please pack these items separately.

Kinda sad about this… I would come here all the time cause I live nearby and it was pretty good. Today I got charged $16 for a chicken kabob sandwich double the price it was just a couple weeks ago. It was literally just chicken, tomatoes, lettuce and some sauce in a pita wrap which I deleted in 1.5 minutes. Absolutely insane pricing, never coming back. Wishing the people who work there best of luck cause they’re all really nice

The cashier was so friendly and sweet! Gave us a drink on the house and made sure everything was perfect.

Ordered over the phone, picked up at their little window. The lady was very nice and helpful and patient. I asked lots of questions!

Hummus was delicious, and the platter was a nice size with rice, pita, salad, and a protein. Definitely a good spot for some yummy food.

Ordered a chicken shawerma sandwich with extra garlic sauce. It had literally no sauce in it at all, I took the everything out of the wrap to check because I was so surprised. The chicken was also very dry, it was almost burnt. Really disappointing experience.

Overall, the place can be decent however it's so inconsistent and I've been burned more than once. Wouldn't recommend.

I love this place but unfortunately they recently halved of their portions and are charging the same price. I don’t complain about places raising prices when it’s necessary for them, but this is a very steep change and now the amount of food they are giving isn’t worth the price

Food was good. Wait time was much longer for us compared to the other customers as our food wasnt handed out to us like it was done for everyone else. Regret paying a tip to experience service discrimination.

They take forever to complete orders. If you want something fast, don’t come here because they will probably take 15 - 25 minutes for your order.

Great little place with some nice Mediterranean food. Hummus wrap was good and the fries cooked perfectly. Iced tea was really good too! They don't have indoor seating, but have a nice little outdoor area, so be careful if it's cold and you want to sit down

I got the shawarma fries (chicken), and the shawarma platter (chicken). Overall it was incredibly disappointing considering the rating, and price of this place.

First the shawarma fires. At first I didn't notice anything cause the sauce was really good, but after a few bites I noticed that I was eating the driest chicken of all time. Also, I'm not sure if they make their fires like this on purpose, but all of them seemed burnt (if that's even possible to do) - all super crunchy and dry.

Second the shawarma platter. Again incredibly dry chicken. The rice was actually pretty good, and I thought the salad was amazing.

For the price and rating I was expecting much better. Personally I don't think I'll ever come back here for shawarma.

Came here for takeout with a friend—big portion sizes and really delicious! I got the chicken kebab platter, which came with a ton of rice, salad, hummus, and pita (they forgot a portion of our order at first and we had to walk back to pick it up, but they were very apologetic about it). My friend got the falafel, which was amazing, especially with the garlic sauce!

I never realized how addictive falafel could be until I ordered from Semkeh one night. Needless to say, I think one week I ate at least 60.

Have eaten here a couple times now! Very appreciative for a healthy and filling option in a sea of bars and such. The breakfast options, as all options, are amazing and leave you feeling ready for the day. Never fill like I need more either which isn't always the case at a Mediterranean spot. Right of Morgan avenue love this place! Got the falafel salad today so good! Highly recommended! Super clean too with an outside sitting option too! It's also covered! Enjoy folks

Amazing Mediterranean outlet. Huge menu, lot of things to choose from. The kebabs are really good. The shwarma is too. Their drinks are good too, but a little pricey at $5.

If you’ve got a hankering for amazing hummus, look no further! The texture is smooth, the flavor rich and tangy. Our chicken shawarma platter was fantastic, with extra salad to replace the rice (thanks, keto). The flavoring of the chicken lived up to the high standards set by the hummus. Juicy and full of zing!

The only downside was the quesadilla. Although all the parts were well made, it left me wanting more for the price.

I want to give this place 5, I really do. You should definitely check it out. But that quesadilla just isn’t worthy.

Oh, and I almost forgot the fried cauliflower. Really delicious! The small portion is enough to share between two.

Whatever. I’ll give it all five stars. I want you to try it out. Just don’t get the quesadilla.

Great gem with great food! The staff is really friendly and accommodating! We were so happy to stumble upon this restaurant and their polite, friendly, and over the top service. They have a beautiful outdoor seating area as well and their food is delicious! Prices are fair and worth every bite. Check them out!?

I passed this while walking and decided to get the chicken shawarma. This is not like the chicken shawarma that I get from Israeli restaurants and it was quite tasty however the only toppings on it were beets and one other scarce item as I was expecting there to be loads of toppings.

The food was pretty good but for the amount that I paid it was quite small and I wasn't happy that they overcharged me on tax at 9% when New York is 8.875% and they also tacked on a 4% fee because I used my credit card for which I was not told beforehand and only saw it on my digital receipt.

Had those additional charges not been added I probably would have added a star as well as if there were more toppings to make it a filling meal.

I will note that the pita bread it came on was thinner than I'm used to but it was really tasty, especially the texture of it.

This place is so good. Their food is very consistent and very flavorful. The customer service is very good too.

I love your restaurant so much and order frequently! I just have to say I tried the breakfast and it was really not good. I am hoping the quality of the breakfast improves, it was not consistent with what you usually serve.
