We hired Sergey for our wedding photography and doing so was something we will never regret. The photos he captured for us are breathtaking. Not only are they crisp, timeless and romantic but he captured every single moment from the wedding. We had a single day Indian-American fusion wedding and so there were multiple moments that we had hoped would be captured and to no surprise, Sergey got every single one. He is incredibly talented and kind throughout the planning process. I would 100% recommend him to anyone who is looking for an amazing wedding photographer. The only downside you will find in hiring him is having too many gorgeous photos to choose from when the wedding is over!

Sergey handled our wedding photos and did a great job. He has an eye for beautiful lighting and location and was very professional. While the photos did take some time to come back in full, he did provide us sneak-peek photos shortly after our wedding, and the quality is well worth the wait!

Where to begin - Serge photographed my husband and I's September 2023 wedding and we are in awe at our photos. Serge's eye and talent is unlike any other - the way he plays with light, poses you perfectly and edits is all a work of art. My husband is a videographer but also does photo so he naturally has a pickier eye, and he said there is no one like Serge. Go with Sergey Lapkovsky as your wedding photographer and you will NOT be disappointed and will have wedding photos that will truly stand out.

Sergey is such a phenomenal person and photographer, I don’t even know where to start. To begin with, he is patient and really listens to what you are looking for. He truly feels like a friend during this whole hectic planning process. Second, he is great at instructions on how to pose (for those of us not used to taking photos!). And of course, his skill with photography is just pure magic… he always seems to capture the right light and make the people and the background seem effortlessly beautiful and natural. It actually looks like us, but just elevated in elegance and style! Wish I could have him follow me around all the time. We got married 2 years ago, and each time someone new sees our photos, they are legitimately blown away. We get endless compliments! If I ever had to host another large social event, I have no doubt that we would hire him again.

We had the privilege of working with Sergey on our wedding day and he is exceptional! His service was unmatched during the entire process. There aren’t enough words to describe how fantastic our experience was with Sergey. He is extremely detail oriented, personable, patient and truly passionate about what he does. He has a calming presence and made us feel so comfortable throughout the entire day. We had an absolutely fantastic experience with Sergey! We did a lot of research before choosing a wedding photographer, and we are so happy we trusted Serge to capture the biggest day of our lives. Sergey took our engagement photos in Central Park and our wedding photos at the Venetian in NJ. We have gotten nothing but nonstop compliments from family and friends on how beautiful both sets turned out. Sergey was so easy to work with from beginning to end-professional, patient, organized, and conscientious. Our wedding was on the larger side with a lot of moving parts, and somehow Sergey was everywhere at once, capturing every moment and giving us so many incredible photos of the entire thing. Sergey photographed our wedding elopement at Brooklyn City Hall and the photos came out beautifully. We could not be happier with the quality of the photos. My wife and I did not really know what much about photography, but Sergey clearly knew what he was doing suggesting locations, poses, movements. The weather was very cloudy and he really made our photos pop with colour. I would highly recommend Sergey to anyone wanting world class photography.

Sergey was incredible for our wedding. The photos turned out so well and we have gotten so many compliments on how great they look. Most importantly, Sergey is a true professional. He really worked with us to suggest the best timeline, understand the specific photos we wanted to take and match the style we were looking for. Words cannot describe how thankful and blessed we were to have Sergey as our wedding photographer. Without him our wedding day would not have been as flawless as it was. A month prior he organized a meeting to coordinate our day from beginning to end. After our initial onboarding call, it was clear that I made the right choice. Sergey's attention to detail and exceptional talent was unmatched. We are so glad we used Serge for our maternity photo shoot. We got his name from our friends that used him and we loved his photos from the start! He was amazing at directing us during the shoot and his photos are so full of light and color. We wanted a sunset session and he totally nailed it. My wife said she loves the photos more than our wedding photos! Every photo was better than the next and we’re so glad we picked Serge!

I did an engagement shoot with Sergey in 2019 and was thrilled with the results. He took the time to help us select a location that was meaningful to us (he explained which locations out of a few ideas I provided would be best) and recommended a gorgeous spot for photos with the NYC skyline. He was easy to schedule with, gave great posing tips that were natural/easy to follow, and turned around the sneak peeks and the full gallery very quickly. Everyone compliments our engagement photos and I recommend Sergey to anyone looking for a photographer (in the New York area or for a destination wedding!)

Wow! I cannot recommend Sergey enough for photography. We found his site actually looking for venues in NYC, and he had a blog post outlining great locations in the city. We did not even need to look at any other photographer - Serge had everything my fiancé and I were looking for for our wedding. During our engagement session, Serge was incredible at making us feel comfortable and helping us pose to make sure we felt confident in our pictures. We were so surprised with how beautiful they came out and how timeless they are look. We cannot wait for Serge to shoot our big day!

I don’t even know where to begin. Serge was such an asset both on our wedding day and as we planned final details. He is a total professional and so knowledgeable. He helped us set up an entire “day of” plan and came with basically a plug and play of our “day of” shot list. We’re definitely more disorganized people and Serge could not have made planning photos for the day any easier. He was also just such a pleasure to be with on the day. It was stressful or exhausting at certain points (especially leading up to the ceremony!) and Serge was a rock! So so many of my family and friends told me throughout the day how wonderful Serge was. We were really hellbent on having photography that was unobtrusive (we’ve been to weddings with whirring drones over the ceremony and it totally took the magic out of it!). Serge got AMAZING shots while blending right into the background. He’s a magician! This is such a ramble, and I’m sure I missed some of the ways he was so great. But TL;DR…Serge is amazing and you won’t regret hiring him!

Sergey had a two-hour wedding photoshoot session with us in Central Park during the pandemic. He was knowledgeable about the park and reminded us to get a photo permit for the conservatory, a popular place for taking wedding photos. He took a LOT of photos for us on that day; some of the photos were taken from different angles and with different lenses. He was resourceful and creative when it comes to postures, facial expressions, backgrounds, etc, so that his photos can vividly capture the vibes between me and my husband when we were interacting in front of his camera. He was also friendly and pleasant to work with.

We had the honor of working with Serge for our intimate wedding ceremony. He is lovely and really listened to our vision from our interview before the event. I am so happy with the results of our photos! They are candid, and he also did magic with the light as the room was pretty dark. The pictures came out fantastic! We highly recommend him!

My husband and I had a couples session with Sergey at Central Park. Before the session, we were both nervous, and imagined it would be awkward to have our photos taken in such a public space. But Sergey guided us with gentleness and humor, and made us feel at ease. By the end of the session, we actually found ourselves having fun. We love how the resulting photos capture our natural expressions and the sunlight of that day. We’re happy to have these photos as a memory of this time. We highly recommend working with Sergey.
