Even though it is an hours drive from my home, and there are other fabric stores that are closer, I love shopping here. The staff are extremely nice, and the quality is 100%. Since I like working with scraps, they always have a selection of them, and my favorite part is driving home, and opening the little packages, and enjoying what I bought, and thinking of what I can do with it all.

I found the store when I started crocheting a few months ago back when they could only take curbside orders. I knew I could get yarn at the big craft stores but I was curious to see if there was somewhere local that I could support. Since then I've been in the shop numerous times to get yarn, buttons, and, most importantly for a novice like me, guidance. The ladies there really know their craft and are happy to offer advice when asked.

Please, now more than ever, come in and see if they have what you need for all of your quilting, sewing, knitting and crocheting needs! They also do sewing machine repairs! If you want to call ahead and ask first they're very prompt at answering the phone as well. I can't say enough nice things about this shop. Come in and see for yourself!

I love shopping in Sew What’s New. The staff is friendly and extremely knowledgeable. I was looking for a “preloved” high end embroidery machine. As soon as they got a trade-in they called me to test it out. I bought it on the spot. If you are into any kind of sewing or yarn crafting this is the store for you. They carry fabrics and yarns you won’t find at big box stores.

The ladies that work at this shop were very kind and helpful. They went above and beyond to make sure I found what I needed and even helped me figure out a confusing pattern I was working on by actually making me a sample of it to reference to make sure I had it right. Very sweet lovely women

Great sewing and knitting store! Love all the instructors and classes. Everyone is so helpful, knowledgeable and friendly, it makes for a very pleasant experience. I take embroidery, software and pocketbook classes. I am accomplishing things I would never have thought possible, with fantastic results. Have met so many nice ladies with similar interests.

I always leave this shop smiling. They are the most helpful, welcoming & funny people! They have the most varied selection of sewing merchandise for all aspects of sewing, not just quilting. And I met so wonderful people who shop there. It's pure pleasure. It just keeps getting better & better & I have shopped in Sew What's New since it opened.

I have had several experiences. The store itself is inspiring with samples of projects started and completed. The fabrics are outstanding. I am now knitting a lapghan in a class one Monday a month. The instructor, Madeline, is great. She has shown me many new stitches and her patience allows me to try new things without fear. I would recommend any sewer, quilter or knitter visit Sew What's New and YarnToo, you'll be in for a happy experience even if just browsing.

I love Sew What's New. Just started taking classes and I am now hooked on working with my embroidery machine & Aarona! I learned so much in her computer class. Can't wait until after the holidays to take more classes! The staff is so pleasant and the selection of fabric is immense.

I I decided that I needed to start quilting. (a new craft added to my already rather eclectic chi and I was so obliged to find the store was very close to my home in Bayshore. I passed it twice before actually going there third time to go inside and they were amazing they were very welcoming, allowing me to browse all the goodies. Staff was helpful, great customer service. It's a clean, quaint, friendly, multi quilting fabric and yarn selection. Thier prices are beyond fair, especially on the little notions and things seems like there's little to no markup at all I definitely recommend this store and the ladies in it. I would also like to mention this store is located in the beginning of a rather large piece of awesome little shops and Villagey area of BEAUTIFUL East Islip long island (much more then this store can be stopped at during your visit thank you "Sew What's New and Yarn Too"

My friend Karen just bought a new machine last Sunday which she uses for quilting (and i help). Then she brought home hand sew quilts. I'm convinced that's my new obsession and i will be stopping in to get some.
