Seafood Restaurant Shagwong reviews
14 Paella was wartery filled with brokrn clam shells and dry overcooked chicken.
Service was non existent
Always a fun dinning experience with an extremely accomodating staff. Great food and ambience that topped off our family vacation in Montauk. See ya next year!
Wait staff is friendly. Place is very clean. They don't rush you even when they are busy. The live music was great
Service was slow and the food was underwhelming. They only had one poor girl running tables in the dining room. I watched a table leave after lunch, only to be cleaned an hour later.
Food was ok but not great. It bothers me that they insist that any sandwich in a pita is a "gyro". Someone should explain to them what a gyro is. (I know they'll never pronounce it correctly, but that's typical.) A felafel sandwich is not a gyro!
Been doing annual trip to Montauk for many years now.was just there September 21 -25 looking for lunch and of course shagwongs is where we chose. ALWAYS a good meal to be had here!
Had delious burgers this time in the back, separate area.awesome!
Good Bar, quick service
Quickly became our go-to spot for cold beers and claws while in town for a couple days
Food was okay but staff was not that friendly,
We ordered rib sandwich and fish and chips
She even don’t tell us what that sauce is
It just looks like oil and also the knife of mine was super dirty so i use my bf’s one instead.
I went same place 6months ago but this time was disappointed.i dont think I’ll ever gonna come here again honestly.
Food is pretty good but unfortunately the wait time was really bad. It wasn't crowded. The waitress didn't check on us. We waited a good 50+ minutes after ordering and the food only came after we had asked twice about it. Staff wasn't really that friendly. Almost annoyed that we walked in
Nothing like a leisurely drive to Montauk. We must always stop at Shagwong for a quick bite and drink on the way home. We had a couple of margaritas and baked clams casino
It was a great place with great food and excellent service! We'll definitely come back!
Cute little pub located in the center of town. We went in on Tuesday afternoon and got the clam chowder. Mind blowing. Lol. I’ve never tasted chowder like that anywhere on the eastern seaboard, so delicious! The oysters were a bit small, but delicious nonetheless. Had some draft beer as well and it was great. Will be back!
Service was abysmal, zero effort or energy from the staff. Food came out rock hard and tasted like pure grease. Immediately got a full refund after taking one bite, and literally drove 3 hours back home because of how bad it was. DO NOT Waste your time or money at this establishment… way to ruin 4th of July.
Sitting with my husband enjoying several cocktails while watching the Ranger game. Started at 8: 00 and then being asked to remove myself from my stool at 10: 45 because they want to turn it into a dance club. Rude, rude and beyond rude! Shagwong is a bar not a dance club and why we chose to go there. I hope the owner can make money on vaping teenagers and young boys drinking beer.
