Shah's Halal Food, Albany NY

The Shah’s back home in NYC always packs our platters full of food even if we order online through Uber Eats. However this one is pretty stingy with the portion size. I end up paying $20+ for half empty bowls of food (this was the third time). The food is really delicious but portion size was not good and I want more food!

I went to this multiple times by now. And what i love the most is that they never disappoint me. Their chicken over rice and the lamb gyro is my forever goto. The atmosphere always looks very clean and hygienic. And I appreciate all the staff who is working over there. And there is a girl who always welcomes me with a bright smile and makes my food lovely.

The chicken over rice with white sauce is very awesome. I also suggested many of my friends to have the food from here.

Best halal food in albany county. Their white sauce with chicken rice is very delicious. I always feel juices in my mouth when i go there literally.

Best Halal food ever! It's worth it to drive to get it it's the best trust me I recommend this place to anyone that's craving some good halal food you won't regret it. My favorite places out of all in the world! Don't forget to add bbq sauce to your food and hot sauce with petabread!

I ordered Lamb over rice. It's not real lamb meat. It's something processed with some addings. The ground "lamb" wasn't fresh. It was precooked and warmed up with rice. And humus and veggies weren't fresh. It was delivered fast, though.

Shah's on Lark is the best! Jay at Shah's is the nicest guy. The whole staff are great really. My husband and I Dash in the neighborhood. Out of all the restaurants we visit Shah's is where we choose to eat. Even if Halal is not your thing, they have the best cheese steak in town. One night we had car trouble right across from the restaurant. We asked Jay at Shah's for a jump. When we couldn't get the car started right away, Jay asked where we live and offered us a ride home. Even after he learned we live almost an hour south of Albany! Thankfully we got the car started. We will never forget how Jay was there for us that night! A little pricey. Service could a little better and nicer. I get food from here only because it is Halal.

Their food is stupidly good. I always go out of my way to drop in and get a chicken gyro, with cucumber, onion, tomatoes tsaziki and hilot sauce. This food is my happy place.

I wish they had interior seating. Better take their food home, it's very messy, in the most fantastic way.

Word of warning, their red sauce is hot ad fire, I get 2 lines of hot, and that's plenty.

Perfect! Just how we, former NYC area residents, are used to! Fingers-licking good. Plain chicken over rice with sauce was $12.30. They raised the prices.

This has been my second time that the guy with glasses has made my gyro. The girl that usually is there hasn't been and she usually makes my gyro with love. Today I received an even smaller gyro than last time and IT WAS COLD. Never coming here again as long as glasses works here.
