Shake Shack Dumbo reviews
20Dirty, staff is lazy and rude and then expects you to tip when they do nothing. Your better off going to a pizza joint nearby. Better food and at least staff that semi tries
Shake Shack has got to fix its kiosk ordering system. I got to the end, and it kept saying “We made a mistake try again” then kept getting the same result. Someone finally told me it’s because they were out of bottled water, which I had ordered. Then say that in the system!
Then, it asks for a table number and won’t advance until you enter one. I didn’t want a table!
For a huge chain it’s amazing simple GUI peri blend like this exist. Wont be going back.
I've been to virtually every shake shak in Manhattan. I've always left 4 or 5 stars.
But this one doesn't deserve me more than two. The slowest fast food restaurant in history. An endless wait is there were very few people. Really incomprehensible and below brand standard.
Choose a seat by the window and an outdoor seat, you can directly see the Brooklyn Bridge, which is very suitable for tourists who want to try Shock Shack and view the Brooklyn Bridge
Well-known hamburger food in New York.
We went to the DUMBO location at lunch time, where there was a notable lack of staff, with long waiting times and disorganization. The staff in the premises seemed very unmotivated, shouted and were very unfriendly.
The burgers are good, but nowhere near the best in the city, as bloggers always announce.they lack love and have plenty of fat.
The potatoes with cheese, correct.
I liked finding a source of cold water for those who didn't want to consume a soda.
Local, more or less nice but the experience was deteriorated by the wait, the staff and the high expectations for an average burger.
Not as busy as it used to be.being that the summertime in New York City is one of the busiest tourist seasons of the year. We were able to find a table pretty quickly inside to escape the heat. Staff was also helpful and willing to help. (A unique skill in NYC sometimes lol)
I ordered a draft ale beer (24oz) with 10$, but I received just a bottle of cheap larger beer because the ale beer was sold out. I noticed when I receive food. I felt unfair with this customer service.
What a pity that with how good the burgers are, the place is not better attended by the management, there was clearly a lack of staff.
We bought the hamburgers from the machine but we didn't get tickets (I guess they send it to the phone, with an American number), apparently our order was lost, and after complaining several times showing the payment at the bank, the guys trusted our request and gave us they gave the order after 45 min. However, it was noticeable that they did not give more than themselves, full garbage and a disaster in general.
Average food.
Very dirty place, insufficient and poorly maintained bathrooms.
Very rude and uncooperative staff with tourists
Almost an hour of waiting before accessing the terminal.
When we're there, we ask for help, we get the answer (I don't have time)
The products displayed on the map on the wall were not available. Very limited choice. I didn't understand why this fast food was so popular.
Delicious shakes, unfortunately most of the varieties were already sold out by the early afternoon. The cleanliness of the toilets was underground!
The food as in any of the same chain. But the toilets are insufficient and dirty.
There is more than a 15 minute wait to get in and be able to wash your hands before eating.
We were waiting since 10.30 opening time, but they just bolted the doors. Waited for 15 mins and still no sign of opening
Work in the area and is a standard go to as long as there are not too many tourists in the area.
I love shake and shack but my last few experiences in Brooklyn have been disastrous, seems like management changed or they are understaffed, because the service is cold and unfriendly, orders take time and hardly anyone to talk to about it. The staff yell at each other and get mad if you ask anything, they promote Avocado bacon but they don't have avocado.
Place a little messy, dirty in the corridor to the bathroom, slippery, dirty bathrooms, little cleaning in the food places
Wait 30 minutes at the machine and then 10 minutes in line to find out that the veggie burger advertised on the internet is not available.
Even for a burger place the hygiene inside the “restaurant” is horrible, food flying around everywhere, tables not cleaned even with few customers. Even compared to Shake Shacks in London, UK this place is quite run down unfortunately, cannot recommend at all.
Very tasty burger and at reasonable prices. It was not crowded at all and you can help yourself to fresh water.
If you're looking for high end fast food or a quick bite in a burger joint: 5 stars all the way.
We were having a beautiful day in DUMBO Park. My 2 year old son, my aunt and I began to get hungry and ran to Shake Shack. It was exactly what we were looking for at the moment. Just something quick to satisfy our hunger so we can continue enjoying our day.
I got the smoke shack, it's what I usually get and it is always delicious. We got fries to share. My aunt is gluten free so she got a regular burger wrapped in lettuce and my son got the six piece chicken pieces and vanilla milkshake.
Of course all he was interested in was the milkshake he only had a bite or two of the chicken pieces but we brought them home and reheated the next day. Surprisingly for fast food shake shack reheats pretty good.
It was a bit expensive for just the three of us but taking modern day prices into account I guess it wasn't really that bad. I think it came out to $40 - $45.
If you were looking for a greasy guilty pleasure with incredible views of the Manhattan and Brooklyn bridges along with lower Manhattan's incredible skyline this is the spot!
Oh and a great little surprise: they gave my son a free set of crayons and placemat to color.
He loves it!
