Shake Shack Forest Hills reviews
16This place is amazing. There is a lot of space for dinning. The service was amazing because they were fast with the order. Food was good as well. You can customise the burgers to your own liking. The drinks are also good as well. I recommend this place for kids and adults.
Yesterday I went to get dinner and it’s was the worst experience ever, normally the food take time to be prepared by the time I order the food was ready, the burger bread was wet and the fries were cold, the juice had no lemonade inside it was watery omg we couldn’t have eaten anything we dump it and my husband is not a person who will drive all the way back for exchange, money and time wasted
The food is very good and always cooked to my liking. However, there are a ton of delivery drivers occupying the nice seats in the front of the restaurant, usually with no food or drink. While its nice the store gives them a space to hang out, paying customers should have the chance to sit by the window, especially on nice and bright days.
The cheese burger patties were the worst. I won't be returning for burgers. However, the fries were great and the shake was worth a return trip.
They just installed a done in process where you take a number and they'll deliver the food to your table with the number. Problem is, they still make you get up and go to the counter to fill your own drink. What is the point of forcing the staff to deliver our order to our table if we have to get up anyway and travel to the counter to fill our drink? Makes no sense. Food is tasty though.

The Food is really good and Fresh, I was thinking, ". The best burgers. " and a few minutes later my wife actually said that!
The food was really good!
The seating in the back is still like a dungeon, so we (Wife, School Teacher Daughter) opted to sit in the front.
There are 3 or 4 booths, plus Bar height Tables with stools.
The booths were sully occupied and remained so for a long time - even thought the occupants had NO FOOD or Drinks in front of them! (see some photos) It seems that Shake Shack has become some sort of hang-out. A long bar height table was occupied by another group of hanger-outers. It was not very conducive to a pleasant Atmosphere.
Danny Meyers in "Setting the Table" talks about getting your Favorite Meal, at your Favorite Table, with your Favorite Wine, Favorite Server, Favorite Time, (You get the picture.) and Shake Shack, Forest Hills, has some of that - but SKIP the favorite table, because a whole lotta groups are just sitting and hanging out.
This needs work.

The Bottled Water is too tall for the straws they have.
The Shack Burger, while well cooked, was only warmish, and the bacon outside of the bun was room temperature and not hot.
The back seating area is kind of dark, and it seemed more like a Prison Cafeteria than a Fastfood restaurant.
The Shackburger with Bacon tasted good, but I have my doubts about how freshly it was made.
Too expensive for subpar burgers and shakes, you're better off at burgerking. The original shake shack on 23rd in the park can't be replicated or mass produced, the difference is in the quality and the taste, shameful
We placed a large order for a baby shower, and this location was great to work with! The manager was extremely communicative, accommodated some changes we made, and delivered the food right on time. Sending a big thank you!
The staff here is always rude and unpleasant + in addition to the location prioritizing delivery services, this combination makes it just a terrible experience for a dine in customer especially for the quality of food diminishing.
The staff always seems to have an attitude and god forbid you have a small ask to enjoy your meal they will make it known how bothered they are; the ordering system is prison style as you have to stand in a crowd of food delivery drivers pushing their way to the front, and hordes of people waiting due to the long waits and disorganization as you are stuck between a soda machine and shelves of food delivery stations (they care about this more than your daily walk in customer).
The location is always dirty and not kept well, tables are rarely ever truly clean, the bathroom are disgusting. The upstairs is always blocked off so the location is not that big for what a dine in customer can expect.
Emphasis on the staff unpleasantness and lack of customer quality due to yet another Shake Shack location emphasizing take out orders and leaving the dine in customer with family or friends as a after thought to their bottom line. Which makes the entire experience terrible, the food is bland and effortless far from what I used to expect, barely a level above a fast food chain.
I will add this to Shake Shack locations I will not be returning to. Needs a complete revamp starting with staff, quality of service and cleanliness. The mountains of garbage bags leaking in front of the location do not add to the experience either.
Too crowded, took too long to get a Burger + Shake, Burger was average. It's so bothersome to be there, 15 of the 20 people waiting were food delivery people. Shake was delicious.
This is a great go-to burger location in Forest Hills. The staff is great to me and family and the fooood - yummy! My experience with everyone from cook to server are professional and nice.
This location was a bit busy during dinnertime. Burger was sloppily made. The Angus burger tasted decent. I tried it and I'd rather go across the street to Bareburger.
When you go up, they have computers where you can place your own order, but you then have to use a credit card. If you want to pay cash, you have to get someone to come over and help you. It isn't a big deal, but it is a little annoying. On the plus side, my order was brought over to me.
This is a great location. Facility is very clean, shack burgers were well made. Customer service top notch and friendly. Highly recommend!
I had the double cheeseburger cooked beautifully to perfection caramelized exterior juicy interior clean restaurant quick efficient service super reasonable price beautiful area
Its good but expensive than other fast food chain. You might find parking across the street.
