Shake Shack Queens Center Mall, Elmhurst NY

I've been here before months ago, and years ago, and it was great, a typical shake shack. Yesterday, I decided I wanted a shake; there was one worker taking someone's order and it seemed to be taking a long time. The store was pretty much empty, otherwise.there were about 5 workers give or take standing around talking and on their phones, as well as what looked like a manager unpacking non perishables like cups and straws. Behind the counter was filthy, the grill, the French fryer, all looked like they hadn't been cleaned in a while.

I stood at the counter with my wallet out and open for a few mins looking at all the other people behind the counter, then after looking at the dirty kitchen for those few mins I lost my appetite she decided I should prob go somewhere else and I walked out.

Every bad review has the same reply from the "owner", ". I guess we really dropped the ball this time. " They can't even take the time to reply to the bad reviews.

The opposite side of the mall has a food court and this is so much better to eat at. It's quiet the food is fresh and the service is always on point. I usually alternate between either the chicken nuggets or the regular shack burger with fries. The tables are cleaned immediately after some one prior gets up so it's really nice especially during flu season. Quick tip use the kiosk to order it's always faster than waiting in line. It's literally jumps you into the que as the next person inline ordering without waiting.

Ordered double burger with avocado, double bacon cheese burger plain and bacon cheeseburger single with lettuce tomato, and when the food arrived my burger still have avocado skin. They mixed the other burger made double baconcheese burger with lettuce tomato instead of plain.

The food was good, but there isn't too much customer service since everything, with the exception of making the food, is not in person. You place your order on a machine, and then they notify you once the food is ready. This is the process even though you are staying there to eat. There was not much interaction with the people who worked there. Overall, it was a great experience.

Ordered online charged me $100 then cancelled my order the next second! Now I have to wait 3-5 days for a refund. This is ridiculous! Don’t let the payment go through if you can’t place my order!

Wow loved their chicken shack, customer service was a top notch. I really appreciate gini who took my order and providing us the best service. She’s really kind. And thanks to Maria too for accommodating the service

Very terrible customer service at this shake shack when you visit it in person.

Also don’t ever order from here to go with Uber eats or grubhub.
They will never give you condiments of any kind and refuse to give an option to pay for condiments.
Avoid.

Carlton the cashier was very knowledgeable and informative. The manager Juan was very accommodating and helpful. They all made relevant suggestions. Go check then out. They are the best!

Food was good, but my takeout was missing items so I had to make 2 trips for the same order which was not fun.

Speed of order was fast. Food was good. Just wished there was a cleaner table. Had crumbs all over

Shake shack is always delicious, and the one at Queens Center Mall was no exception. The Smokeshack burger was amazing, and the Parmesan truffle fries were a nice addition.

The only problem I ever have with Shake Shack is their price. It’s not the best bang for the buck, but that’s not unique to this location. Still one of the best fast food burgers you can get, though.

People were nice, place was very clean (ish), food tasted like yesterdays grease (maybe the day before). Price was average for portions.
